“ | I am The Fudge. I used to live within the kingdom walls, but I was banished by that rotten princess after I ate too many of the delicious townsfolk. | „ |
~ Fudge's backstory. |
The Fudge is a major character in Episode 2 of the viral indie animated series The Amazing Digital Circus. He is a giant chocolate blob-like monster that used to live inside the Candy Canyon Kingdom but was banished after eating too many of its residents.
During the humans' adventure in the Kingdom, Jax destroys his promise with the princess and makes a deal with the Fudge, allowing him back into the Kingdom to eat its inhabitants in exchange for the Fudge rescuing them.
He is voiced by Lyle Rath, who voices the IGBG CEO and Mr. Man in Smiling Friends.
Personality[]
The Fudge likes to eat and devour all beings that are made of candy, being able to devour an entire kingdom just because of his great appetite and gluttony, but he is also quite kind and compassionate with those living beings that are not made of candy, as shown when he spares the cast their lives and helps them in their mission, and also very honest and acknowledgeable of his status as a repugnant force of evil. He's also shown to be affable enough to acknowledge that Max & Chad, two gummy crocodiles who are made of candy, were not part of his deal with Jax, and leaves them unharmed despite being completely capable of eating them.
Biography[]
Candy Carrier Chaos![]
After Jax, Ragatha, Gangle and Kinger have their tanker fall into the chocolate river, the Fudge meets them as they also acert into his banishment as well and considers eating them, but stops because they're not made of candy like everyone in the town is. He briefly remembers the screams of all the victims he ate. That's when the other bandits with their tank full of syrup fall into the river too.
Jax breaks his promise to the princess, giving Fudge the key to the city, while Fudge takes the heroes back to return the syrup and complete their mission. Although, that's when Fudge breaks through the doors and terrorizes the city once again as the heroes go back to the circus.

Trivia[]
- He is a reference to The Greedy from Raggedy Ann & Andy: A Musical Adventure.
- Unless the "Jax = NPC" theory is to be believed, The Fudge is the only villainous NPC to not be hostile to the main cast, albeit entirely under the notion that they're not edible.
- Whether The Fudge's mass devouring of the Kingdom residents can be classified as cannibalism or man-eating is debatable.
- The residents of the kingdom are made from gelatin and lollipops, whereas the Fudge (as his name suggests) is made from fudge, candy corn and jawbreakers, suggesting that they're different species.
- However, they're all beings comprised of sugary treats and (ultimately) computer game code.
