The Gariburu (ザ・ガリブル Za Gariburu) is a minor antagonist of Choushinsei Flashman, appearing in Episode 7 as the primary antagonist. He was chameleon-like Beast Warrior creation at the service of the Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess, and under the command of the Great Emperor Lah Deus and Dr. Lie Köpflen, and also their other generals as well.
Just like multiple other Mess Empire's monsters, he didn't have a voice actor because he couldn't talk.
Biography[]
The Gariburu was created by the Mess Empire's scientists and then he was sent by his masters Great Emperor Lah Deus and Dr. Lie Köpflen to attack Tokyo and cause as much chaos in the city as possible. A Mess Monster created with the genetics of the chameleon, allowing for him to gain camouflage abilities that could allow it to blend in with anything as if invisible and prevent others from attacking him. Like a chameleon, it also had a long prehensiled tongue.
Gariburu attacked the city and attacked the amusement park, starting his rampage and causing havoc. When Flashmen were spending time in the amusement park, Bun was talking to a little boy, whom he helped to catch a balloon whom the boy droped and in gratitude boy gave Bun another balloon. The Flashmen thought and wondered about it, until Beast Warrior showed up and started causing havoc and destruction. He popped from the balloon and allowed Leh Wanda, Wolk and Kilt, as well as some Zolor troopers, to attack them.
Flashmen transformed and fought the villains but, however, things went awry when Gariburu showed his ability to blend into its surroundings, due to it being created from chameleon's cells, giving the Flashmen a run for their money.
Bun was strangled by Gariburu while climbing a building, and the others couldn't even shoot it down without the risk of hitting their friend; however, a pack of drifting balloons flied past Gariburu turning him visible, allowing Blue Flash to escape his grasp and the team to shoot ithe Beast Warrior in the process, but the monster escaped. Protecting himself in a dark area, Gariburu easily beat the team down, but especially Bun who refused to accept defeat. Seeing the futility in continuing their battle, the superhero team retreated.
At the Round Base, Mag explained to the team about the chameleon's mutable abilities, and Sara conjectures they need to find a way to neutralize the monster's ability. Bun rushes out for some. Finding a store containing the balloons, he wonders how his life could be if he had stayed on Earth, as the boy from before shows up and explains to him about how the balloons are toys.
However, the Rangers found out that Beast Warrior couldn't process multiple colors simultaneously, this was discovered by Bun as a group of balloons floated right into the Gariburu, forcing the Beast Warrior to attempt and failed to become all colors within the group simultaneously.
Inspired by this failure, Bun purchased more balloons from the boy who gave him a previous balloon and used them later to defeat the East Warrior.
