The Giant With Red Dots is an enigmatic creation by artist Trevor Henderson. Little is known about this creature, except that it belongs to the group known as The Giants. Some speculate it may actually be the infamous Breaking News, exhibiting a new and unique ability.
Appearance[]
The Giant With Red Dots is an enormous humanoid entity, nearly completely shrouded in darkness. It has two unusually long, outstretched arms and thick legs. Its skin is clumpy dark gray or jet-black, though the true color is difficult to discern due to the image's conditions.
Its outstretched arms give the impression of shrugging, extending all the way to the ground. The legs are slightly shorter than expected, noticeably thicker than the arms, and more muscular. The creature's head is not visible in the image.
As its name implies, the front of its torso is dotted with small, red glowing lights. There are eleven lights in total, varying in brightness.
The exact size of The Giant With Red Dots is unknown, but based on the road poles in the image and comparing it to other similar Giants, it is estimated to be around 1000 feet (304.8 meters), though this is a rough estimate.
Behavior and Origins[]
The Giant with Red Dots, like other Giants, was another creature that simply existed in the Giants' realm, until they were summoned to Earth by what we can assume were the Moon Worshippers. wandered the Earth until the collection period, where most Giants became aggressive and started collecting or destroying humans based on worthiness.
This creature in particular is likely a non-collection Giant, as it lacks the signature tentacles and tendrils to ascend humans, however it may still be able to do so using its freakishly long arms. Its humanoid shape and lack of collection method means that it is a Destruction Giant, tasked with killing humans that are not worthy of being ascended.
Another interesting detail in the image is the Giant’s position; it’s arms are outstretched and it’s head is looking slightly skyward, almost as if looking at the Moon. It may be doing this in an attempt to summon even more Giants from the overlapped spaces on the two Moons. This is further backed up by Trevor's reply to a comment which implies that it is this Giant's duty to 'pull the sky down' and let other Giants through.
Abilities[]
Like most Giants, it uses its enormous size to wreak havoc on unworthy humans, and potentially ascends worthy ones with its long arms. The glowing red dots on its body might serve to disorient or confuse its victims. Although speculative, these glowing dots could also indicate the ability to perform energy attacks.
Trivia[]
- Whether or not this creature and the infamous Breaking News are one and the same is currently unknown.
- It does share similarities to Breaking News, specifically their body shape, size and colors. However, Breaking News does not appear to possess the signature red dots of this Giant, or if it does, chooses not to use them.
- We also cannot see the head of this Giant to confirm that it is the same twisted neck that Breaking News has.
- It is the first humanoid Giant to not have a deformed head (not as we know, at least).
- When somebody noted that the Giant appears to be "pulling down the sky", Trevor replied saying that "Someone's gotta". This suggests that it has the unusual ability to somehow pull the sky down, though it is unknown why it does this, or if other Giants are also able to do it.
- It may simply be a strange metaphor or exaggeration for saying that it is letting other Giants come into the world, as The Giant do seem to have come from the sky, or rather an overlapped space in the sky. It could be manually overlapping the spaces to let other Giants into the human world.
