The Girai is a minor antagonist of Choushinsei Sentai Flashman, appearing in Episode 4 as the primary antagonist. He is a turtle-like Beast Warrior creation of the Great Emperor Lah Deus and his Reconstructive Experiment Empire Mess.

Biography[]

Created by Lah Deus and his underlings, by splicing a tortoise's genes with the genes of a Space Turtle, a creature whose head is always upside down, this monster could turn living beings' cornea upside-down along with their sight. After being created he was sent by his masters to attack Tokyo and use his abilities on the citizens of the city and destroy the Flashmen if the multi-colored heroes would try to interfere.

The monster attacked the city and started targeting people as his victims. Girai arrived to Tokyo in the tripod machine and started attacking people with his primary power. When Flashmen arrived and started fight the monster, Girai used his ability. In the first fight with the Flashmen, Girai dominated and gaimed the upper-hand since the Rangers hadn't yet fully understood his abilities. The villain used his power on Dai, making Green Flash be unable to fight because he started seeing everything upside down. Unable to fight without their comrade, the Flashmen had no other choice than retreat.

Girai returned to the Mess Empire ship and Dr. Lie Kopflen explained that Girai's beams contain a bio-molecule, extracted from a particular species of turtle foreign to Earth which swims upside-down; therefore, it is able to invert one's sight. Ra Deus then orders the monster to be sent to attack random people, causing various sorts of trouble, like terrible traffic accidents.

Among the he targets of Girai were Dai, who trained himself to fight the monster on a handstand while Jin planned a counter with the team put on blindfolds and rely on their other senses. Later, Girai returned to Tokyo and the Flashmen team were forced to fight him again, albeit without Dai. Flashmen fought the turtle monster, but it was a difficult battle, because they were only four and they were hard to fight the villain. While Flashmen fought the monster, Dai spent his training with Mag. Later, when Dai returned to help his friends, the Rangers again fought the villain and Dai fought Girai, albeit his sight was still damaged and he could only see upside down.

After Flashmen transformed they placed metal plates on their eyes and used their other senses to fight Girai. Eventually after the brief battle, the monster was overpowered and ater Green Flash defeated this monster, as head twisted upright, the monster was blasted by the Rolling Vulcan, destroying Girai. Dai's sight was restored to normal after the death of Girai. After being enlarged by Kuragen, this monster fought and was destroyed by the Flash King.
