The Goon is a major antagonist in the SlugTerra franchise. He is an extremely powerful ghoul slug from the Eastern Caverns.

Biography[]
Origin[]
The Goon in Eli's mind.
For over a thousand years, The Goon was originally a Boon Doc slug in the Eastern Caverns, one of the guardian slugs helping generate Slug Energy to keep the evil Emperor that lived in the Deep Caverns at bay. Eventually, the Emperor managed to enter the Eastern Caverns, and all of the guardian slugs escaped except for the Boon Doc, who was corrupted into a ghoul Slug by the Emperor's powers, with so much energy that the effects cannot be reversed, as well as giving the ghoul exceptional strength and intelligence. The Emperor then used The Goon to possess Junjie, and took over the Eastern Caverns over a period of around 20 years.
Arrival In Slugterra[]
Eventually, the Goon sensed ghoul energy from beyond the Eastern Realm, and used Slug energy from Fandango slugs to drill his way into the 99 Caverns, with Junjie still under his control, as well as many marauders under his command, hoping to see who else was creating ghouls. During the fight, the Goon took over Eli Shane's body in order to conquer Slugterra. After a brief fight, the Goon was defeated, before later returning.
Return[]
In the second Slugterra movie Return of the Elementals, the Goon is seen working with Dr. Blakk to ghoul the Elementals, the original five slugs that were the foundation for all other slugs in Slugterra, and ghouling them automatically ghouls every slug that descends from the ghouled elemental. It took time, but using the fallen Will Shane as a host, the Goon and Dr. Blakk ghouled 4 of the 5 elementals, nearly destroying Slugterra. Eventually, the Goon got fed up with Dr. Blakk's side goal of forcing Eli to watch them destroy Slugterra rather than killing him, and once Will Shane was freed and the ghouled elementals were cured, the Goon took control of Blakk's mind in order to finish their plan by ghouling the Energy Elemental, which is very similar to the slug species the Goon originally was. Upon being hit with the Energy Elemental's healing powers, the Goon became very sick and would have eventually died. However, Dr. Blakk, despite hating the Goon, used his dark energy powers to cure him. Together, they were just about to ghoul all of the Elementals at once when Will Shane tackled them into the Deep Caverns. Currently, the Goon and Dr. Blakk are trapped there, away from Slugterra.
Personality & Description[]
As a guardian slug before he was ghouled, he was seemingly the protector of the 11 guardian slugs that protected the Guardian Gate, as he was a Boon Doc, a rare and special species of slug with the power to heal anything infused with slug energy. He was friendly, nurturing, and took his job very seriously. Though not yet quite having a mind of his own, he was very intelligent.
Upon being ghouled by the Emperor, he gained abilities no slug or ghoul has ever had. Now with mind control and mind reading powers along with the power to ghoul slugs and corrupt people, the Goon is destined to become the most powerful being in Slugterra. He is a ruthless, sadistic, power hungry being who wants nothing more than to rule and destroy Slugterra. He is a tyrannical ruler and cares about others only when it benefits him. Overall, there is nothing he enjoys more than using his dark energy powers to ghoul slugs and take over people's minds.
As he mentions to Eli, he sees other creatures as less than him, including other slugs and ghouls, who he only sees as noble due to his ability to corrupt them, and believes humans and other intelligent Slugterran life forms are "like a virus that needs to be wiped out".
Despite his power and cruel demeanor, The Goon is not incapable of fear, as he is extremely terrified of the Energy Elemental (Doc) because of its healing powers, and it's the only slug that the Goon won't stand up to. Rather than turning the Goon back to normal, the healing powers of the Energy Elemental would kill the Goon because of the level of dark Slug Energy he was ghouled with. It's the only thing that hinders the Goon's immortality. Despite his fear, the Goon tried to ghoul the Energy Elemental on 2 occasions.
Unlike any Slugs, who have their own language, The Goon can speak in English, making a being so evil and dangerous that not an army can stop him, but understand what he says.
