The Grendel Trolls, better known as Grendel of the Ashes and Grendel of the Frost, are minor antagonists in the 2018 game God of War. They are the final bosses of Tyr's Vault, and minor antagonists overall.
Biography[]
After Atreus obtains the Jötunheim travel rune, these two trolls will wake up and begin attacking. Grendel of the Ashes awakens first, quickly followed by Grendel of the Frost.
Kratos defeats them relatively easy using their opposing element against them; using his Leviathan Axe against Grendel of the Ashes, and the Blades of Chaos against Grendel of the Frost.
Trivia[]
- They act in very similar fashion to the Sisters of Illska from God of War (2018)'s sequel God of War Ragnarök, except for the fact that they don't share a health bar.
