The Guild are the main antagonists of the Ability Wars Saga in the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise.
The Guild is an exceptionally rich secret society with great influence from the USA. It was revealed by Osamu Dazai that they were the ones responsible for putting a seven-billion-yen bounty on Atsushi Nakajima's head causing the Port Mafia to attack him and the Armed Detective Agency. They came to Japan to search for the reality altering book hidden within Yokohama.
Every major member (except Lucy Maud Montgomery and James L.) is a direct reference to an American author with the same name.

The Guild is an extremely wealthy organization. The leader, Francis F, owns three conglomerates, five hotels, an airline, and a railway company alone. Many of the members have positions high in the American government or corporations.
Along with their wealth, they have high political influence. Even after leaving what should be their main turf, America, they still had significant influence when they came to Japan. The government couldn't intervene their criminal actions due to a combination of threats, briberies, and general political pressure.
