The Hand are the main antagonistic group in The Decaying City arc in the 2023 tactical first-person shooter game Ready or Not. They appear in the missions "Neon Tomb" and "Relapse". They are a jihadist terror cell based in Yemen, who launched an attack in response to the American intervention in Yemen.
History[]
Past[]

However it ended up killing civilians, as heard from the voicelines when arresting them in Neon Tomb. The Hand, didn’t let it slide. As a result, they went to Neon Nightclub.
Neon Tomb[]
The Hand sent a group led by Zahir had started a massacre on the Nightclub. This caused D Platoon to respond to the scene. During the raid, they managed to arrest/eliminate all the perpetrators including Zahir himself (though canonically they arrested them all, given by S rank being likely the most canon).
Relapse[]
Prior to the mission Zahir was brought to Almantes Correctional Facility; where weeks later he was beat up by the corrections officers for an unknown reason and was sent to Coastal Grove Medical Center. Before the raid, The Hand, implied to learnt from their mistake brings in some insiders to scout the hospital (as mentioned in the mission’s briefing). Members of The Hand arrived at the hospital to rescue him, along with killing anyone that stands their way. However unknown to them, D Platoon came, and arrested/eliminated the suspects and arrested Zahir again.
Post-Relapse[]
Regardless if of your choice, the members will be shown in the holding cells, while Zahir was returned to prison where his ultimate fate is unknown. However, despite both missions being a success, it’s possible they might return.

Trivia[]
- Before 1.0, Zahir’s model used to be a randomly generated suspect.
- Their actions may be a reference to or based upon the shooting that occurred at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida. The perpetrator was an Arab man who was angered by US intervention in Iraq and Syria.
- While though media reports suggested it was connected to the level's release date (June 12, the anniversary of the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting), on what was stated, that caused the entire game to be delisted on Steam on June 16, 2022 (VOID didn't comment on why this date was chosen). How ever in truth, it was a copyright claim [1], it was noted that the name of the in-game nightclub, "Pryzm", was also the name of a British nightclub chain owned by Rekom UK. The game was later listed back on Steam in the 18th with the infringing elements removed.
