Biography[]
Kinnikuman[]
The Hawkman is first introduced in the series during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc as a member of Team Mariposa, acting as the Advance Guard of the team after Kinnikuman Mariposa hired him to be a member of the team. The Hawkman joined so he could be noticed by the Five Evil Gods for his power instead of just being a soldier.
During the first round, Team Mariposa would have to fight against Team Kinnikuman. The Hawkman would be the first to fight, going up against Kinnikuman first. The Hawkman would fly around and use his sharp talons to cut Kinnikuman but he would dodge the second slash and throw The Hawkman to the ground, making him angry for hurting his body. When Kinnikuman was distracted by Mammothman killing both Pinchman and Leopardon, The Hawkman would kick Kinnikuman, cutting his face.
The Hell Bird and The Hawkman's head then flew up and latched onto Kinnikuman, carrying him through the air before The Hawkman sprouted his wings and formed them around him, making a sharp point before flying directly toward Kinnikuman, stabbing into his chest but not hitting his heart, The Hawkman realised that Kinnikuman's Burning Inner Strength was the thing that saved Kinnikuman from dying to the attack.
The Hawkman would have Hell Bird transform into a duplicate of The Hawkman and the two would tag team Kinnikuman, lifting him up and slamming him down to the ground, stunning him while the Hell Bird landed back on The Hawkman's head. When Kinnikuman tried to reach out to either Terryman or Robin Mask, neither of who were there, The Hawkman would mock Kinnikuman for relying on their friends.
When Kinnikuman leapt onto the lights, The Hawkman would form his wings around him and try to impale Kinnikuman again, however, Kinnikuman had a plan, dodging The Hawkman and making him break the lights. While everyone else could see, The Hawkman couldn't because birds have night blindness. The Hawkman would get beaten on by Kinnikuman until the Hell Bird transformed into an owl and shone a light on Kinnikuman so The Hawkman could see.
Now that he could see Kinnikuman, The Hawkman started to beat him down and throw him out of the ring and through a table as the lights turned back on. The Hawkman tried to dive down and stab Kinnikuman but he dodged and slammed The Hawkman to the ground head first, damaging both him and Hell Bird who The Hawkman dismissed from the fight and swearing to inflict far more pain onto Kinnikuman than he did to Hell Bird.
The Hawkman would turn his feathers into the colors of his surroundings, making him invisible. Kinnikuman was unable to hit The Hawkman who was able to slash Kinnikuman with his wings over and over again. Kinnikuman would eventually learn how to locate The Hawkman by having Hell Bird fly back to the nest known as The Hawkman's head. Kinnikuman would grab The Hawkman out of the air and use the Kinniku Driver on him, slamming him to the ground and crushing his and Hell Bird's heads, killing them both.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, The Hawkman has superhuman strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that The Hawkman likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Hell Bird: On top of The Hawkman's head is a special bird that is able to fly around separately from The Hawkman and turn into whatever type of bird it wishes to. The Hell Bird is also able to transform into a clone of The Hawkman himself.
- Camouflage: The Hawkman is able to change the colors of every feather in his body, making him blend into his surroundings, rendering him invisible.
Trivia[]
- The Hawkman shares a name with the DC hero, Hawkman. Given that Kinnikuman is a series about superheroes with them even directly referencing the DC superheroes Batman and Superman, this may have been an intentional reference.
- In the anime, just like everyone else who died during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc, The Hawkman was revived by Kinnikuman, unlike the manga where he stayed dead.
