The Hive are the main antagonists of the 2019 sci-fi film Men in Black: International. It is a parasitic race who invade other planets by merging with the DNA of the conquered species.

Biography[]

The Hive was known by the entire universe to invade and devour other planets, and to do so, it would have to merge with the DNA of the conquered species. It was until 2016, when the Hive tried to invade Earth, and to do so, it would have to travel through a wormhole that is located in the top of Eifel Tower of Paris. MIB agents H and High-T managed to foil the plot, but the incident left Agent H to become as neglectful towards his duties and apparently only keeping his job due to High T covering for him due to the soft-spot they have for each other.

It was not until in 2019 when Agent H received a new partner named Agent M and were tasked to protect a member of an alien royal family named Vungus the Ugly, who was murdered by the the Twins in a failed attempt to steal a crystal from him. Tracking down the Twins' current location at Marrakesh, the agents soon learned that the crystal is actually a weapon powered by a compressed blue giant. Following the defeat of Riza Stavros and the deaths of the Twins, both Agents H and M soon learned a horrible truth: during the 2016 invasion, the Hive managed to convert High-T into one of them and neuralized H so that he could act as the 'hero' and conceal their true activities to start up a new invasion. This was confirmed when High-T stole the weapon in order to open the wormhole so that the Hive could enter Earth. Fortunately, Agent H is able to draw out High T's former personality long enough for M to use the weapon to destroy High T and the Hive infestation trying to reach Earth through the wormhole. Not only this ensured High T died a hero in their eyes (the return of his humanity indirectly distracted the Hive to make a fatal mistake in attempting to suppress it thus leaving themselves and their pawn vulnerable), but the resulted blast certainly ensured the race's near extinction judging from the damage M caused in ending their threat.
