The Influenced are the evil individuals encountered in Condemned: Criminal Origins and Condemned 2: Bloodshot. They are citizens of Metro City who have been affected by the Oro's power, the Sonic Emitters, causing them to turn violent and insane.

Condemned: Criminal Origins[]
It is never explained why so many people suddenly became violent and mentally unstable. In the end of the game, Rosa hints that a cult is responsible, but she never elaborates. Leland Vanhorn blames the Oro Dark Primary, who the player fights as the game's final boss, as the source of all the city's madness.
Condemned 2: Bloodshot[]
It is revealed that the Oro is responsible of turning the people insane by placing Sonic Emitters everywhere in Metro City.
