The Koshide Family are the main antagonists of the Toonami original anime series Housing Complex C.
They were voiced by Sean Chiplock (who also voiced Awful Alvin in The VeggieTales Show, Noob Saibot in Mortal Kombat 11, and Swamp Demon in Demon Slayer), Suzie Yeung (also voiced Makima in Chainsaw Man and Miraschon in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean), and Kayli Mills (who also voiced Satella in Re:Zero and Runa Yomozuki in Kakeguri - Compulsive Gambler) as Seichi, Keiko, and Yuri respectively.
Biography[]
Initially appearing to be a normal family of three who arrive to the apartment complex as a means of connecting foreign Middle Eastern interns with corporations, they are actually descendants of a race of fish-like humanoids that worshiped a sea god (strongly hinted to be Cthulhu) and wanted to summon their god by committing several human sacrifices to appease it. When Kimi Shirokada meets Yuri Koshide, the two befriend each other but Yuri is unaware of Kimi's status as another god more powerful than the one they worshiped.
The anime implies that they were the ones responsible for the mysterious supply of dead fish that appear on land each night and placed the head of a mummified dog into the shaved ice syrup to further have their victims accuse each other of the wrongdoing. Eventually, Seichi and Keiko manage to murder several of the neighbors except for the giant Middle Eastern intern Kanchan "Kan" Mia who manages to take out both parents.
Kimi and Yuri escape into the cellar as Yuri tries to kill her when they were alone. However, Kimi reveals herself as being a god herself (presumably an avatar of Yog-Sothoth) who drops her childish act and demonstrates her power by dropping the mutilated bodies of her parents on Yuri's face. Upon realizing that Kimi was a god, Yuri tries to beg her "friend" for forgiveness saying that she would kill as many people in her name if the need be. Dissatisfied, Kimi makes Yuri vomit moss from every orifice of her body until she exploded like an over-inflated water balloon. The only survivor of the casualties is Kan, as he prayed to Kimi for protection. The series concludes with her watching Kan leave a now barren Housing Complex C.
