Villain Overview

In war, the man changes sizes often. Sometimes to protect us. Sometimes to hurt us. Sometimes to scare and humilliate us. I believe one day that man will become a giant to conquer us all.
~ Ed Dwight's comments on Kirk Alyn (the Last Son) foreshadowing his downfall.
THE PEACE EQUATION
OUR FREEDOM > YOUR FREEDOM
OUR CHRIST > YOUR CHRIST
= WORLD PEACE
~ America, speaking about their values in conquering the world.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world mine.
~ The United States, showing more want to conquer the world.
I was and always will have been a vessel for hate and destruction.
~ The Son to the Lunarians in SEA OF THE LAST SON.

Kirk Alyn (born John Feggo Jr.), better known as The Last Son of Alcatraz is the secondary antagonist in the analog "superhorror" alternate history sequel series The NIXONVERSE: A MONUMENT MYTHOS STORY, the second installment in THE MONUMENT MYTHOS franchise and it's expansion, THE ABSOLUTE NIXONVERSE. As the Crescent King, he is The D-Day Knight's arch-nemesis.

After surviving a fatal car crash, Kirk would awake to his powers and, inspired by the mysterious vision of a woman he saw in his daydreams and by the dying man that he had crashed to, decided to fulfill his self-proposed role in the universe and use them to protect those in need.

In his time as a superhero, he would not only save lives but partake in wars and other conflicts, gaining the attention of fellow superhero The D-Day Knight. Though naive, the Knight recognized that he's already a better hero than he'll ever be. With the Knight's brutalism and the Son's naiveness cancelling each other out, they would be known as the Night and Day.

Come the Korean War, the Night and Day would get involved. The Son's best interests were to help everyone involved, so he would often play two sides in the war, helping those who needed it. The US Government would quickly grow tired of his tampering in war, and responded by nuking his base in Alaska and using a Lunarian Eye extracted from the Queen of the Lunarians, brainwashed him into a bastardized impersonator of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and forced him to capture Vietnam, turning it into Bethlenam, the 51st state.

Upon regaining consciousness, the Last Son would vow to repent for his sins and never interact with the human race again, escaping to the Ocean as a replica of his childhood home. When this House in the Ocean was found by the Lunarians, they tried to convince him to join their leagues as they believed him to be the King from their prophecy. After he refused several times, the Lunarians captured him and brainwashed him into a vessel for The Crescent King.

When his old friend, the Knight, sacrifices himself through his Alcatraz Checkmate, the Son would regain consciousness once again. Realizing that his crimes against humanity were beyond any redemption or repair, his shapeshifting powers would start turning him from a Crescent Creature to a being that Richard Nixon compares to The Horned Serpent.

He is voiced by M4NTICOR3 herself.

Appearance[]

The Last Son of Alcatraz[]

The Last Son, takes on a caped hero appearance, wearing tight clothes with a dark cape, akin to those of Superman, with the clear lack of the "S"/Hope chest symbol. The colors of the suit are left ambiguous due to the lack of color of every photography of him, however it is shown to be grayscale in the drawing at the end of NIXON IS GOD.

Jesus Christ[]

After being brainwashed by the USA Government, The Last Son shapeshifted into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ during his crucifixion. Accompanied with a giant cross that was apparently part of his own body, a crown of thorns and a piece of white cloth around his waist that extends to his knees.

The House in the Ocean[]

Upon regaining consciousness, The Last Son, mortified at his deeds in Vietnam as Jesus, vows to live a peaceful life in the Ocean as an exact copy of his childhood house, explaining that this was how he wanted to present himself towards those he had hurt.

The Crescent King[]

After being seriously injured from a Lunarian Cloud Ship crashing towards him, The Last Son takes the form of a gigantic humanoid creature with pale skin and a crescent moon as a head.

Biography[]

Origin[]

After the Great Division, GOD had left The Horned Serpent, killing it in the process, and landed on the Nixonverse Moon. He had created The Last Son as a test of how humanity would accept him, calling him "The Son." He would also create The Queen of The Lunarians and The D-Day Knight for similar reasons.

He would use his lonely times in the road to school to think about his role in the universe, developing a need and want to protect people, but that he first needed to "win." A certain figure of a woman would commonly appear in his daydreams, a woman with short curly hair, represented in the retelling of his backstory with a red outline and the planet Saturn around Her.

During one of these drives, he had been particularly distracted with his daydreams, leading him into crashing with another car. This car crash luckily didn't result in the Last Son getting injured, however, the other driver would have resulted gravely injured, impaled between his seat and the wheel. With his dying breath, the man told the Last Son that he had finally "won, little bastard."

After this event, he would have a dream he was being chased off a cliff by a car, only to jump, and he made himself believe he could fly before he hit the water, and he began to fly. He manages to "carry" this ability into waking reality, being able to fly, and eventually, shape-shift in limitless ways.

Aiding in War[]

Eventually, he would grow and fight in aid and detriment to the United States in WWII. In the last documentation of the being, he is seen to grow nearly 30 meters in height, attempting to crush U.S soldiers.

The Last Son would also interfere in the Korean War, and when it was over, would go back to his home base in Dark Alaska. Missiles would be shot at The Last Son as he returns, knocking his eye out of his socket, abandoning it in Dark Alaska, where someone (mentioned as "Grandma") finds it. The missing eye would be replaced by a Lunarian eye, found by astronauts of Apollo 12 who would attack a Lunarian with a ray gun and shoot its eye out. The American government would then capture The Last Son, and brainwash him into believing he is Jesus Christ by using the Lunarian eye to replace his missing eye, which he would then imitate the image of by shape-shifting his body. They would then use The Last Son to take over Vietnam through an operation known as Sweep and Redeem, where The Last Son spread destruction through the entire country, with the message "It was the only way" being used to justify his actions. With Vietnam conquered, America assimilated the country into itself, renaming it to Bethlenam.

The one true House in the Ocean[]

In reality, The Last Son managed to break his brainwashing, and escapes to the ocean off the coast of Dark Alaska, declaring it as The Sea of the Last Son, and shape-shifts into his childhood home as a sort of apology for those who he has hurt. He would later be known as The House in the Ocean at this time, and a cover story created by the United States was made to try to hide the House's identity, as described earlier. A Lunarian cloud ship would later find him, and attempt to coax him to become their king due to his powers. When he declines, the Lunarians capture him and brainwash him, similar to the American Government, to become The Crescent King and the ruler of the Lunarians.

The House's Cover Story[]

THE HOUSE IN THE OCEAN, a series of multiversal origins that tells the tales of the physical manifestation of the beholder's brain in the shape of a House in the Ocean and how a similar entity also known as The Crescent King took over it, was used by the US Government as both a cover-up after the series of events that transpired in the Ocean and as anti-Lunarian propaganda.

The Crescent King[]

The Crescent King went onto manipulate and slowly destroying every language on Earth through his psychic abilities. No one had noticed the changes until they were too severe, with the Avenues remarking that it would take ages to finally remember it all. After this became evident, Lunarians began building schools all throughout the planet, where they would teach the now vulnerable and almost illiterate human race the Lunarian language.

In a final attempt to make "The Last Son" persona resurface, Alice Avenue attempts to remind him of his own backstory by radio transmitting it all throughout the world, adding that she wants everyone to be healthy again and that The Last Son's transformation into the King could be reversed, and that if it could not then she hopes that The D-Day Knight would come back and save everybody. Mere minutes after this transmission, however, The Knight would take Alice, grow to the size of a giant, and throw her out of the Chrysler Building, killing her.

After The Queen of The Lunarians attempts to recruit the D-Day Knight as their Lunarian Prince and fails, resulting not only in her death but in also the death of each and every single invading Lunarian, the Crescent King would once more break free from his brainwashing. Completely grief-struck after the deeds he had done under the guidance of the Lunarians, which were even worse than the atrocities he had done as Jesus back in Vietnam, the Crescent King would completely lose all will to live, crying in what can be assumed to be Dark Alaska, the King would have one last transformation before his ultimate fate: the very beast that ended his original world, he shapeshifts into The Horned Serpent for reasons unknown.

Fictionalized Once More[]

Richard Nixon, fearing that the Nixonverse may share the same fate as his home universe, opts to completely destroy the timeline he himself altered by fictionalizing it, as it's the only way to truly defeat the King once and for all.

After the fictionalization is complete, the events of THE MONUMENT MYTHOS: THE NIXONVERSE, alongside everyone that didn't exist prior to the timeline's alteration by Nixon and his extensions, were put in a comic book written by MISTER MANTICORE and illustrated by the new reality's Ed Dwight. That being said, in a post credits scene of THE ABSOLUTE NIXONVERSE, the original Crescent King short film plays, implying that the King still exists in some form.

Trivia[]

    • His transformation to "Jesus" is possibly parodying Zack Snyder's version of Superman's infamous paralleling with Jesus.
