The body appeared untouched. It doesn't make sense. Everything inside was gone.
~ The text at the ending of '[FORMER CONCEPT] love.thumper' and 'making.friends'

The Locust also known as The Thumper is the main antagonist of Doctor Nowhere's analog horror 'T.O.E' (The Organator Enterprise/Smilehood) series.

They are a mysterious entity that appears on their victim's television, device, or other form of screen and break through the screen with its long appendages, and presumably feeds on the victim's internal organs.

They have little practice speaking to outsiders and even if they write incorrectly, this causes them to greedily threaten their victims without any reason.

Appearance[]

The Locust (Also known as The Organator, or T.O.E)- is a completely black, lanky and tall humanoid creature with thin, sharp, stick-like arms, and a deformed human face with hollow eyes and tube-like appendages covering its head and neck, which suggests that it may be bio-mechanical in nature.

Personality[]

Whilst being a predatory creature, it still exhibits child-like curiosity and manner of speaking. To lure in "prey", The Locust can appear on their television, device, or other form of screen, and break through with its long appendages. If the victim hides, The Locust will hunt them down, and presumably feed on the victim without actually touching them, (Seen at the end of love.thumper where it says "The Body Appeared Untouched.") it is also assumed that The Locust feeds on its preys organs.

Methodology[]

It attacks people by breaking through screens, and presumably "eating" them. From what we can see in the second T.O.E. episode titled "love. thumper" there is text at the end of the video saying "the body appeared untouched" showing that the Locust must consume the victim in a different manner, eating their organs.

When The Locust appears on screen, it usually stands in a room with vintage-fashioned wallpaper. The Locust is hypothetically a child, or trying to appear as if they are one. This can be explained by the way it talks like a child would. Despite the fact that the Locust is mainly a predatory creature, it pretends to be friendly, even if it writes with incorrect punctuation.

T.O.E. (The Organate Enterprise)[]

T.O.E. is the analogic horror series that revolves around The Locust, whose episodes show an ominous tone, a bizarre and unnerving terror and the unfortunate victims of this lanky human-eater. Currently the series takes place in 2005 and has only 3 episodes, belonging to the former concept of the series, now obsolete. New and different episodes of T.O.E. are expected soon, as The Locust has been redesigned and changes and adjustments are being made for T.O.E. 4.

[FORMER CONCEPT] T.O.E.[]

(OBSOLETE) T.O.E. - starving.help[]

(T.O.E. 1): In this first video, which has 'trapped' as its only description, it shows Locust making gurgling and moaning sounds, as if starving, in the corner of a room with beige old-style wallpaper, meanwhile, a human hand starts hitting the TV or monitor screen repeatedly, starting to crack it. When the hand is about to break the screen, the video ends. In this video, The Locust is presented as a lanky black creature with a wiry, skeletal body, a scarred collarbone and a deformed face with hollow eyes, similar to a grotesque caricature of a human face, with tubular appendages around its head, suggesting that Locust is biomechanical in nature. Despite this, it is also possible that these tubes are intestines or appendages with a semblance of the same shape. It is known that the human hand in the video is not Locust's, it is theorized that it is the hand of Carter, Dominik or whoever of the two recording the love.thumper video.

love.thumper[]

(T.O.E. 2) takes place in the early morning of March 13, 2005 and shows a guy filming his TV (or computer) in complete darkness while Locust appears on the screen in the corner of his wallpapered room. Here we can see the entity's real arms, long tendrils of stick-like arms reaching down to his feet. The Locust seems to talk and show the attitude of a child by replying to the cameraman's greeting, who then asks him what he wants. The Locust seems to say that he is hungry and then, when the boy tells him to go away, Locust starts banging and cracking the TV screen rapidly with one of his arms. To the protagonist's horror, Locust finally breaks the screen and smashes through it, entering the living room. Later we can see the boy hiding in a closet and turning down the volume so that the monster doesn't find him. Unfortunately, the creature opens the closet door and finds him. Locust hides behind the door fastily opening it and then peeks out, staying still for a while while making slight arm movements, as if he were an animal determining if its prey poses a threat. After getting used to it and seeing that its prey does not try to defend itself, Locust finally enters the closet and attacks the cameraman. Finally an image of the corner of Locust's room, stained with blood behind the broken screen, appears, along with blue text that says "The body appeared untouched".

making.friends[]

(T.O.E. 3) shows a series of images on the wallpaper of Locust's room, with strange piano music in the background, the first being a text that says "It's time to rise and shine" with the drawing of a sun in the sky. The following image shows a clock on the wall with the text "good children are up bright and early". The following shows a corner of the room with some children's toys and a text that says "good children play pretend". The following photograph shows a drawing on the wall that apparently depicts Locust feeding on one of its victims. The next image shows another doodle on the wall representing Locust himself and a text that says "good children do not play with their food until it is all gone." And finally we see one last drawing on the wall with the text "good children make friends." Suddenly, the music stops and a beating heart connected with vessels and tendons to the ceiling in Locust's room appears for a second. After this comes an app called Pen Palace for messaging your loved ones, which appears to have a new video chat feature. 2 online friends named Carter and Dominik go online and start talking. Carter begins to write to Dominik that he is glad they are talking after months and that if he needs to talk, he will be there for him. However, in response to this, Dominik responds in a cold and short manner and then asks to make a video call. At first, Carter refuses, explaining to Dominik that his mother is asleep and it is almost 1 in the morning where he is. But Dominik begins to insist so much that Carter finally agrees, on the condition that Dominik be silent. He responds with "starving. help please." Carter thinks it's a bad joke and tells him that they were never fun. Then Carter receives an incoming video chat request and accepts it. But when the call connects, Carter finds the Locust turned on its back in the corner of his room, on the other side of the screen. Finally, a very short video of the heart beating in the corner of the room is seen, with a text that says "none of it makes any sense, everything inside was gone", suggesting that the Locust feeds on the organs of its victims, from somehow without touching them or causing external injuries.

[NEW CONCEPT] T.O.E.[]

This section will be edited and expanded as soon as New T.O.E. Installment is released.

How To Survive[]

  1. If you see The Locust on screen, immediately turn the television off.
  2. For safety precautions, you may want to throw away or smash the TV to fully ensure safety.
  3. If you are encountered face to face with The Locust, it may be the best idea to Run instead of Hide, as it is seen as a very intelligent seeker. (Though running most likely will not work as it is EXTREMELY fast), if possible, use a car or a motorbike to escape (Driving very fast in a car may help)

Trivia[]

  • There is assumptions that The Locust created the T.O.E (The Organator Enterprise) video series, this can be explained by how titles are written with incorrect punctuation.
  • The Locust is the first creature to be shown on Doctor Nowhere's YouTube channel.
  • One of the leading theories is that The Locust is actually a 5 year-old child or pretends to be one. This is supported by the former description of Doctor Nowhere's video "making.friends" (CONCEPT - TOE3) which stated "it's a kid in there".
