The Long Hair is the titcular main antagonist in the Junji Ito manga The Long Hair in the Attic.
Personality[]
The creatures true personality is currently unknown. What we do know about the creature is that it seems to hold a grudge against Chiemi's boyfriend. and seems to have no remorse for any of the other life it has taken such as Chiemi or her father.
Biography[]
The hair was originally grown by a woman named Chiemi for her boyfriend. eventually, the boyfriend broke up with her, believing her not to be beautiful enough for him. The break up leaves her heartbroken and she ends up, burning up photo of her ex-boyfriend while crying about her long hair. The next morning she wakes up with a dead mouse entangled in her hair and decides to cut it with the help of her sister Eri. unfortunately, before they cut the hair off, her sister found in the bathroom with her head ripped off of her body. The police are called to the scene, but the death was eventually ruled as a suicide.
One week later Eri’s father decides to travel up to the attic to check for mice. when her father doesn’t return after a while, she goes up to check herself only to find her father dead from fright. she ends up, finding her sister‘s head with her hair moving on its own with it, manipulating her sister‘s facial features. The hair escapes from the house and travels to the Chiemi’s exes home and brutally tears him apart killing him.
