The Machinist is a side antagonist of Chapter 5: Season 3 in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
She is voiced by Molly Scarpine.
"Leviathan's Folly" loading screen that players are rewarded with if they participated in Chapter 5: Season 3, Megalo Don is yelling at the Machinist.

She was Megalo Don's personal engineer of the Nitro Wasteland. The Machinist has a sister who is allied with the Underground, known as The Operator. There is little knowledge of her personality, and she is not completely trustworthy in the eyes of Megalo Don, according to the one of the loading screens which players who participated in Chapter 5: Season 3 were rewarded with for free, where Megalo Don was yelling at The Machinist for Redline Rig exploding. She also seems to be a combat expert prior to her mythic boss item being her own personal "Combat Assault Rifle", and according to her other loading screens, she is also good with welding and machinery. Her major hostility likely comes from prolonged exposure to Nitro, which she often works with as Megalo Don's personal Machinist, which seems to have a similar effect to the ink from "Bendy And The Ink Machine", which sends the host crazy, this is heavily implied by the Fortnite community because most players refer to Nitro as a drug.

Her in-game NPC counterpart was also very arrogant towards players when they blocked her convoy, replying "I don't have time for this... MOVE!" or immediately attacked them if they entered her vehicle, and if she spawned at Redline Rig, she would be in her neutral state until attacked or threatened by a player, where she threatened the player by telling them not to aim a weapon at her, blocking her patrol path for too long, or attacking her. Her evil prowess is very questionable, and she takes orders directly from Megalo Don himself. If a player was wearing the Machinist skin and approached The Operator NPC, she would address a supposed offer Megalo Don gave her, saying 'Tell "Don", thanks, but no thanks, sis.', indicating the theory of them being sisters to be genuine, though it does not confirm who is older.

The Machinist has a red welding mask with a set of orange highlights and an orange liquid flowing through the tubes in her 2nd and 3rd edit styles. When using Machinist's Edit styles there's 6 options the base style which is shown in the image below. her base style but with the mask down, she then has her overcoat which is either red or blue depending on if you're using the 2nd or 3rd edit styles. She as per tradition is one of the Battle Pass skins that has a set of 3 "super levels": the first super level being a blue luminescent called "Cold Fusion", the second being a green luminescent called "Neon Hazard", and the third being a purple luminescent called "Digital Ghost". Her default style's welding mask has a high resemblance to Nisha's "Tactician Mask" edit style.

The machinist wears her welding mask as described above but this time with a shirt with the sleeves ripped off, a belt with nitro canisters on the back of it with a pair of shorts. It is noted that this is the default style for this character. Some of her accessories include what looks to be a pair of black thigh high socks and bicep high arm sleeves with red and black gloves. When her shield is depleted, her mask will be drawn and she will have a Nitro effect which last until she is defeated. When defeated, she will drop a bottle of Flowberry Fizz, a canister of Nitro Splash, her Medallion (or "Spoil Of War" as called during Chapter 5, Season 3), and her personal Combat Assault Rifle, which is customized with a reflex sight, foregrip, drum mag and suppressor. She either spawns in a War Bus Convoy, or by herself on the top level of Redline Rig.
