The Man from the Window is the titular main antagonist of the 2022 indie horror game The Man from the Window and its 2023 sequel The Man from the Window 2. He is a mysterious humanoid entity that kidnaps people to make them his "friends".
Personality[]
The Man is a mysterious entity, but one thing is clear about him: above anything else, he wants a friend, even if it means kidnapping one. This seems to show that the Man has a twisted concept of friendship and likely doesn't understand how bad his actions are (or perhaps simply doesn't care).
The Man despite everything is bound to some rules, which he respects despite his desire for a friend.
He also seems to like donuts, and is somewhat gluttonous, as he ate a dozen donuts by himself.
While the Man overall doesn't display any particular intelligence, the second game shows him to be a bit smarter as he uses the windows to try and see where Mama Rabbit hides Audrey.

The Man from the Window[]
Mama Rabbit's child, Junior, finds a book titled "The Man From The Window" and asks her to read it for him. It describes a lonely man who makes "friends" by breaking into their house and kidnapping them. After reading the book, the man attempts to break into their house and Mama Rabbit has only five minutes to defend Junior and her home.

Mama Rabbit is kidnapped[]
This ending occurs when Mama Rabbit is found before the five minutes are up. After the man leaves, Junior comes out of his hiding place to find that Mama Rabbit is missing. He calls after her and tries looking for her, but to no avail.
Junior is kidnapped[]
This ending occurs when Junior is found before the five minutes are up. Mama Rabbit calls the police and begs them to find her son, saying they couldn't have gone far and that she'll find him herself if she has to.
None are kidnapped[]
This ending occurs when the man can't find either characters before the five minutes are up. He quickly leaves the house, prompting Junior and Mama Rabbit to come out of their hiding places. Junior becomes upset that the man ate the donuts in their house, and Mamma Rabbit chastises him for bringing home a cursed book. Junior then mentions a "Woman From The Front Door", but admits it was a joke when Mama Rabbit takes it seriously.
The Man from the Window 2[]
Many years pass after the events of the first game, with the Man trying and unsuccessfully attempting to kidnap the Rabbit family so many times his home invasions have become minor nuisances to the now retired Mama, Junior and Junior's daughter Audrey.
While babysitting Audrey for Junior, Mama Rabbit once again receives the Man's book and prepares to hide. However, some of the pages have been torn out so she and Audrey prepare to find them in the five minutes they have to hide. Finding the pages scattered around the apartment and nearby units, Mama pieces the book back together with Audrey. With that, the two must hide before the clock strikes 8.00 p.m. However, the Man can instantly seek out either of them if they leave the blinds open, allowing him to see where they go to hide.

Mama Rabbit is kidnapped[]
Junior comes back to the apartment to find the door wide open and with Audrey curled up in a corner crying. When he asks her where Mama went, he notices, to his horror, the Man's book on the floor.
Audrey is kidnapped[]
At his workplace at midnight, Junior receives a mysterious phone call full of indiscernible sounds before it goes dead. Feeling something amiss, he rushes back home, leaving what he'd see there unknown.
None are kidnapped[]
If the Man runs out of time or places to search, he will instantly leave no matter how much time's left. After he leaves, Audrey yells at the Man to stay away from her family. However, she hears another knock on the door and quickly runs off to hide. Fortunately, Mama realizes it's just the takeout she ordered and relieved, takes the food back inside.
If this ending is achieved in Tough mode, the deliveryman is revealed to be J.P. Vermander and Audrey isn't scared off. Later that night when Junior returns, Mama tells him about what happened that night and compliments Audrey for handling the situation well. Junior remarks that Audrey takes after her grandmother, to which Mama is touched and, leaving for bed, says good night to him.
