Biography[]
Kinnikuman[]
The Manriki is first introduced in the series during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc as a member of Team Zebra, acting as the Advance Guard of the team after Kinnikuman Zebra hired him to be a member of the team for a large fee.
During the second round, Team Zebra would have to fight against Team Kinnikuman. The Manriki would be the first to fight, going up against Meat first. Despite him being a child, The Manriki would beat down Meat and would attempt to throw him directly into the Chojin Graveyard, effectively killing him, however, just as he threw him, Warsman would catch Meat and sub in for him.
Warsman and The Manriki would fight with The Manriki easily beating down Warsman because his memories hadn't been revived with his body. The Manriki would use this as an opportunity to mess with Warsman in order to make the audience lose faith in him, however, once the audience started to laugh at Warsman, he started to gain some of his memories of his past, using the rage from his past to start attacking The Manriki with brutish attacks.
Once Warsman regained his memories of being trained by Robin Mask, he would drive his Bear Claw into The Manriki's head, making him bleed. The Manriki would try to get Warsman into a Romero Special but Warsman would remove his gloves to slip out of it before breaking The Manriki's legs and then breaking off the vice on his shoulders. When Warsman went to kill The Manriki, Kinnikuman would get in the way with The Manriki forming another vice on his chest to grab Kinnikuman and use him as a hostage. Once Kinnikuman reminded Warsman that he was a Justice Chojin and would save Kinnikuman from being crushed by The Manriki's vice.
The Manriki would grab Warsman in his vice. Warsman would try to pry them open with his body, however, Warsman would run out of stamina which The Manriki planned for. With the last bit of strength, Warsman would quickly roll out of the vice and use his Palo Special on The Manriki, damaging his body so much that he would spit out blood and killing him.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Chojin Physiology: As a Chojin, The Manriki has superhuman strength, speed and durability. Other abilities that Chojin have that The Manriki likely has is the ability to grow to be as large as a building and the ability to fly without wings or thrusters, even in the vacuum of space.
- Scramble Vice: The Manriki has a large vice-like device attached to his shoulders. He uses them to grab and crush anyone he fights, even if they are as durable as steel or diamond. If they are ever broken, The Manriki can regrow them almost instantly.
Trivia[]
- Manriki is the Japanese word for vice, hence the implement on his head.
- In the anime, just like everyone else who died during the Survivor Match for the Kinniku Throne Arc, The Manriki was revived by Kinnikuman, unlike the manga where he stayed dead.
