The Master is the main antagonist of the 2011 Chinese action thriller film Dragon or known as Wu Xia. He is the undisputed leader of the group of bloodthirsty warriors called The 72 Demons where his second in command, his own son, Tang Long/Liu Jinxi (the main protagonist).
He was portrayed by the late Hong Kong-Taiwanese martial artist Jimmy Wang Yu.
Biography[]
The Master is unknown for his real name in the movie. He is the father of the main protagonist, Liu Jinxi who once his real name was Tang Long when he was belong in the 72 Demons. He was the son of the Master and 13th Madam. The Master and the 72 Demons members reigned the terror over any residents they come across or anyone that stand against them. They were lived in Gong Village according to Liu. They were also the most fearsome group of warriors that no government officials dare to step up against, even Xu the detective also shocked after learning that Liu Jinxi is Tang Long.
Fate[]
In his fight with Liu who lost his arm, which gave the more advantages for The Master to overpower him. As he prepared to end Liu's end, Xu the detective struck him with multiple acupuncture needles to his foot and his neck which broke his qigong technique of defense. The last needle to the back of his neck causing a lightning bolt striking The Master to death as he was outside in the raining.
Personality[]
The Master is indeed a savage and mean person and the most formidable one with high skills of martial arts. He will hurt and kill anyone who stand against or disobey him. Despite his love for his son, he would make him to be strong as equal as himself by any means of necessary even he must be cruel to him. He is no dare man to be cross with. He will make sure anyone knows when to fear and being weak in front of him. Every member in the group pay their high respect and obey him as the leader. He is powerful and close to be in superhuman attributes. He use qigong techniques when fighting Liu who was cutting his own arm for not want to be in 72 Demons group anymore. Because of that, The Master overpowered Liu in the fight and prepared to kill him.
