~ The Maverick initiating a fight between him and Sunny and Kel. |
Mikhael, also known by his self-proclaimed alias The Maverick, is a supporting antagonist in the 2020 psychological horror RPG OMORI, serving as a major enemy in both Three Days Left and Two Days Left and a supporting character in One Day Left. He is one of the members of The Hooligans, led by Aubrey. He is the younger brother of Bowen and Daphne.
Appearance[]
The Maverick appears to be a teenage boy around sixteen or seventeen years old (based on the age of the main characters). He wears a cyan collared shirt with what appears to be a pair of black earphones hanging from around his neck. His shirt is poorly tucked into his white jeans, and he also sports a golden wig to cover his brown hair.
Personality[]
At first, the Maverick is portrayed to be a very arrogant young man. His dialogue implies that he developed a rivalry with Kel over the course of the four years prior to the game's beginning, whether it be out of envy for Kel's athletism or out of his own pride in his fighting skills. He seems to enjoy dramatizing his actions, wildly posing and exaggerating his speech at any given opportunity. Despite this, Mikhael appears to be secretly insecure of his lack of relationships with other people, going as far as to pay girls to "date" him. The other hooligans have mocked this trait of his, but nevertheless treat him fairly and with respect, especially Angel, who looks up to Mikhael enough to call him his "master".
It is later revealed down the track that Mikhael developed his rebellious nature as he did not wish to take part in his family's traditions of baking bread. He calls his siblings "evil forces" due to their enjoyment of baking, and appears to fear them as a result. As the story progresses, it is revealed the Maverick does indeed love his family, and considers a return to his family's traditions, showing remorse in his hooliganism.
