Appearance[]
Mummy is a tall bipedal alien composed entirely out of dark-beige organic bandage-like tendrils, stemming from his small but hard head. Face consists out of black domino-like pattern surrounding his purple glowing eyes, lacking mouth, nose and ears, being separated by a vertical black line. Head itself possesses frill, covered in red and golden horizontal lines, with single bandages at the sides of the face. Torso is slender and has several purple bioluminescent lines, which reveal Corrodium rocks upon opening up. Upper limbs are bone-thin at forearms and enlarged at hands, reaching all the way down to the floor with his four inhumanly long fingers. Crotch is covered by a short skirt-like cloth, which is primarily red with golden lines and two bandages, each going vertically at the center of it. Legs are proportionally short and have numerous long toes. Normally, Thep Khufan has two tendrils on its back, but can generate far more. The Mummy has characteristic bioluminescent purple lines visible at aforementioned torso, as well as on shoulders, calves and arms.
Biography[]
In Under Wraps, the Mummy is first seen in the prologue of episode where after being teleport to Earth at night he scares away three local boys, his black silhouette with glowing purple lines ominously rising from the ground with his arms fully stretched.
Next night, Mummy is caught red-handed by Ben (transformed into XLR8) while burrowing into Corrodium deep underground. After suddenly noticing alien, Mummy is leaps high into air and lands far away from XLR before lashing out with his bandage tendrils, obliterating nearby warehouse during the fight. XLR8 finds a barrage of sharp knifes in another warehouse and quickly throws them at Mummy, only for him to open his stomach and make them harmlessly fly through him. As Mummy is distracted with knifes impaling nearby desk, XLR8 quickly runs up to him and punches Mummy in the face. Recovering, Mummy wraps his bandages around XLR8 before he could react and throws him at nearby water tower.
XLR8 runs on top of water tower, only to be followed by Mummy climbing on top of it. Thep Khufan stretches his arm and punches XLR8 of the water tower before safety hovering down to the ground with his bandages wrapped around water tower. As XLR8 recovers from the fall, his Omnitrix begins to time out, returning him back to his human form, much to Mummy's shock. Instead of attacking human, Mummy wraps his bandages around water tower's pillars and collapsing the structure on top of him. As Mummy leaves in conviction that Tennyson died, Ben is saved by Gwen pushing him away from water tower before it collapses.
After Max Tennyson scans Corrodium-mutated cow, trio of Tennysons drives to Digby Diary factory where the source of Corrodium is detected. As they head down to the restricted area, Max's scanner overloads. Figuring out that they are right underneath Corrodium, Ben takes a form of Diamondhead and begins to drill towards the Corrodium. Gwen scolds Diamondhead, claiming that he did all dirty work for Mummy who moment later emerges from the darkness. Knocking Diamondhead away, Mummy opens his chest and puts Corrodium into it.
Diamondhead recovers as Mummy begins to charge on him by climbing onto metal pipes. As Petrosapien dodges the attack, Mummy starts launching his arms on him only for Diamondhead to grab one of them and pull Thep Khufan towards him before throwing him into the wall and smashing Mummy through it. Mummy is unfazed and releases Corrodium radiation from his chest, just as the security guard enters the room. Mummy pulls him towards his chest and mutates him, then sends to deal with Max and Gwen, who are protected from Corrodium thanks to their protective suits.
Meanwhile Diamondhead and Mummy continue their fight until Omnitrix runs out power, transforming Petrosapien back to his human form as shocked Mummy watches. Thep Khufan begins to chase him through the factory, but misses him as Ben hides behind the corner. As Max catches up to Ben and puts protective suit on him, Mummy grabs Max and throws him away before resuming his chase towards Ben. Ben eventually notices a crate with pink ice cream mass and pours it on the floor for Mummy to trip on it. Mummy instantly regains his footing but Ben grabs tube and shoots Mummy with marshmallow, launching him to a fan where Gwen pours peanuts on him. This causes Mummy to fail into rotor which cuts Mummy into pieces.
As both cousins begin to leave, Mummy extends his bandage out of fan and wrap it around Ben. As Mummy's head floats out fan, his body bandages start to regrow within seconds. Angered by Tennyson's continuous interrupts, Mummy tears away his protective suit and exposes his body to Corrodium. Fortunately, Omnitrix is able to recharge in time and scan Mummy's DNA, allowing Ben to transform. However, instead of transforming into the new Thep Khufan form, he transforms into Upgrade and slips behind Mummy's back before being punched away.
Max warns Ben about freezing device behind him which Upgrade uses to mutate into a weapon. As Mummy approaches him with exposed Corrodium, Upgrade fires a freezing ray at him, immobilizing the Thep Khufan.
It was released by the Yenaldooshi in "The Return", and assists in Dr. Viktor's plan to plunge the earth into eternal darkness. It completed its task for giving Vicktor a power source for his machine. When Ben is fighting Zs'Skayr, Doctor Viktor, and The Mummy in "Be Afraid of the Dark", Doctor Viktor inadvertently sends both himself and The Mummy to the Null Void, through an ill-timed use of his teleportation device. It is unknown what happened to The Mummy.
Powers and Abilities[]
Thep Khufan physiology: Mummy originates from a sapient species of mummy-like aliens from Anur Khufos, a dark planet from Anur System. As such, Mummy has standard traits and abilities native to his race.
- Bandage manipulation: His species' iconic trait is their ability to generate and extend dozens of extremely prehensile, sturdy tendrils that can be used as an additional limbs or as blades. Mummy often uses them to lift and throw his opponents, aid him while walking like a spider, or to reach panels from the distance.
- Shapeshifting: Thanks to his bandage composition, Mummy is able to unravel his bandages and reshape the structure of his body. This allowed him to dodge a series of knives thrown at him by XLR8.
- Regeneration: Because his body is generated by the head, Mummy can instantly regenerate from grievious and extensive amount of physical damage, such as when he was torn to confetti by a fan in Didgy Dairy factory.
- Superhuman strength: Mummy is physically far stronger than average human being, allowing him to throw Diamondhead with ease, smash a warehouse with one tendril, send XLR8 flying with one punch, drag around Cannonbolt and restrain Frankenstrike. He was also able to collapse a massive water tower on top of Ben from the distance.
- Superhuman durability: Mummy can withstand impacts and pressure that would be lethal to human beings. He was seemingly unaffected by Cannonbolt crashing into him, tackled through a wall by Diamondhead and electrified by Frankenstrike.
- Superhuman speed/agility: Mummy moves much faster than human beings and most aliens, being fast enough to keep up with XLR8 and catch him off-guard during their confrontation, as well as effortlessly avoid the attacks from Diamondhead for the majority of fight.
- Superhuman jumping: Mummy can jump several times his own height, as seen when he leaped high into the air at the start of his fight with XLR8 and then avoiding a series of diamond spikes generated by Diamondhead.
- Superhuman endurance: Mummy is nearly impervious to physical damage, being unaffected by being stabbed through the chest by Diamondhead.
