The Nestmind is a minor character from the Roblox game Deepwoken.
The Nestmind is the creator and master of the Deep Owls and Visionshapers. It is a powerful entity locked in the Conscious Intersections that gives the powers of illusion magic to people in exchange for feeding on their minds in death and turning them into Deep Owls.
Biography[]
At some point in time, the Nestmind created Deep Owls, large humanoid owls that were capable of speech. They roamed the Depths for years, before some escaped to the surface, choosing to dwell in the island of Erisia after it drifted into the Voidsea. It came across two individuals, Surge and Aelita, bestowing upon them illusionary abilities, turning them into Visionshapers and wiping their minds of the interaction. Aelita moved to the Valley of Heroes, where she played games of life and death with those unfortunate enough to stumble upon her and attempting to get those who won killed by Stone Knights, while Surge resided in the Widow's Hollow in Scyphozia, acting as a proxy for the Nestmind that encouraged people to hunt Owls and retrieve their feathers, before being possessed by the Nestmind and taking people to it.
During the Year 1289, an adventurer heeded Surge's words of the hunt, killing a Deep Owl and bringing Surge one of its feather. The Nestmind possessed Surge, making him teleport them to the Nestmind. It explained to them where they were and what it was, offering them great power in exchange for them using their illusion magic to break the minds of others, making them 'ripe,' and being able to feed on their mind with their death. They accepted, turning them into a Visionshaper and expelling them from the Conscious Intersections. They questioned Surge on this, to which he had no memory of the event.
