The Numbers are a central characters in the Teenage Mercenary Series
They are a group of mercenaries created by the Benefactor, Mad Dog, a ruthless warlord training about 1000 to become the best, only about 40 survived the most rigorous and brutal training. Mad Dog designated the code Numbers assigning Ijin Yu as the designated leader of the unit. It is said to be an experimental unit under the order of Iron, a worldwide private military company to recruit trainers to become the best in the field.
The members of the unit share a deep bond and camaraderie and brotherhood among the survivors as they later established a silent rule among them: Do not kill one another. However, Ijin Yu later regains his memories as he decides to leave the Camp but this is seen as a betrayal, but Superior commanders and the colleagues marking him The Traitor. This led to want to kill him at least once due to him considering a threat to the marvel rivals.

The organization is considered to be one of the most ruthless and experimental unit that is created by under Mad Dog. Despite one of the most brutal trainings to create, survivors had severe trauma despite having a mental resilience. The numbers about 40 has significantly decreased but the exact numbers weren't known so far but is only given the minor confirmation from Maya, about 17 out of 40 were killed but it wasnt certain wether if the deaths increased than what Maya gave.
Personality[]
Out of all numbers who still lingers emotions during the training, only Ijin and 002 are the ones who didn't linger emotions despite Ijin can still linger emotions but is decided to be closed to avoid unnecessary decisions, each one of them also has their own expertise. maya and 003 are the only girls in the entire Mercenary Enrollment series except 003 betrayed them when making her own PMC. Despite the group is disbanded, they still chose to be together to go against Iron and The Forests who may recruit more and have to try to protect Ijin making sure he doesn't get a direct conflict with those affiliated.
