The Overseer is the overarching antagonist of the Kingdom Rush franchise, serving as the overarching antagonists of Vengeance, the main antagonist of Legends of Kingdom Rush and the main antagonist the sixth installment of the franchise, Kingdom Rush: Alliance. It is a being of unknown origins that seeks to enter the world of Linerea to consume it with the help of his army, the Unblinded Cult, which worship him as a god.
Appearence[]
Only the eye of the Overseer is usually seen with just that being as big as a human and having reptile like appearence.
His full body, however, seems to be more similiar to an octopus, with a big main body that have several eyes on it, multiple tentacles that starts from the main body and also a moltitude of mouths with sharp teeths. After being the final fight at the end of Legends of Kingdom Rush, one of his eyes appears to be cut, but that doesn't seems to be much of a problem fo the beast because of his several other eyes.
Personality[]
Because of his gibberish language, not much is known about his personality. However, throught his actions he can be assumed to be a power hungry, destructive and malicious being that enjoy destroying entire civilitations satiate his endless hunger.
His followers seems to be extremely loyal to him, but theit devotion is also caused by the fear that many of them have towards him, with some even being completely brainwashed by his powers, implying even further that he is an extremely dangerous and evil being.
Biography[]
The Overseer is a mysterious being that was sealed in unknown way in another dimension and that attempets to enter other worlds to consume them alongside their energy. The first time he appears was at the end of Vengeance, when Vez'nan reaches the basement of Denas' castle after banishing him into another dimension, and after arriving there he sees a portal with his eyes in it, claiming that the true battle begins in that moment.
It's revealed that King Denas knew about the portal and the threat that it might pose to the Universe, but since he didnt know how to deal with it permanently he decided to seal it into the basement of his castle in the hope of contain it. Vez'nan, however, was aware that it wouldn't be enough to stop the Overseer, and for this reason he started a campaign to overthrow Denas to deal with the extradimensional menace, making the Overseer the cause of Vez'nan's descent into villainy. Vez'nan's exposure to corrupted Tear of Elynie didn't help either.
As Vez'nan feared, by the events of Legends of Kingdom Rush, the influence of the Overseer already started to affect the Linerea's reality; a group of individuals started to worship him, creating the Unblinded Cult in an attempt to give him a point of access to that reality, so that he could devour it like he did to many worlds before. Gerald Lightseeker and other heroes managed to discover this cult's existence and dediced to act quickly to prevent the end of their reality. After several fights against the members of the Unblinded Cult, the group managed ro reach Seeress Iriza, one of the main followers of the Overseer, and after a long fight against her and his master they managed to somewhat win the fight, causing the whole base to explode with Iriza in it.
However, this was not the end of the extradimensional menace, since Vez'nan reached his student Magnus in an unknown location, opening a portal to the Overseer's dimension and discovering that the explosion only managed to damage a single eye of the beast, which prompted the dark sorcerer to call of the generals to get ready to a war of huge proportions against the menace and his army.

- A being that looks a lot like the Overseer appeared in another game series from Ironhide Game Studios, Iron Marines, serving as a boss in the second game. The developers confirmed that the two creatures are one and the same, explaining that him being in multiple place at the same is caused by the fact that he exists outside of space and time, allowing him to be wherever he wants, whenever he wants.
- Since his existence is what drove Vez'nan to betray King Denas and become a villain, he is considered the Bigger Bad of the entire franchise.
