The Pizza Monster is a combination of Carl's pizza and Dr. Dark from Jimmy’s Slumbertron 9000. He is a minor antagonist of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the main antagonist of the episode "Sleepless in Retroville."

He was voiced by veteran voice actor Corey Burton.

Biography

When Carl and Sheen spend the night at Jimmy's residence. Jimmy unveils his new invention, the Slumbertron 9000, which cooks great pizza, deploys cushions, and recounts terrifying stories. Sheen wishes to utilize all of the capabilities at once, but because this is the machine's first outing, Jimmy begins with the pillow battle. They cook the "ultimate pizza" after they've worn themselves out. They finish all but one slice in 10 seconds. Jimmy then informs everyone that it is time for terrifying stories. Sheen requests "scream-your-head-off scary" stories. Dr. Dark appears and informs them about the monster that ate children, particularly boy children, at night when Jimmy triggers it. Jimmy turns off the machine since all three of them are afraid.

They finally fell asleep. Carl wakes up later that night, indicating he wants more pizza, but Jimmy does not. Carl then proceeds to make the pizza himself. "I want pizza," he writes. "Love, Carl," yet the machine returns a syntactic fault. Then he hits all of the buttons, enabling the pizza to be combined by the machine and Dr. Dark to produce the Pizza Monster. Jimmy is unable to erase the pizza since the machine has crashed. The Pizza Monster immediately declares his intentions, shouting, "Time for my dinner!", indicating his plans to eat the boys.

The boys take off running until they end up cornered, at which point the Pizza Monster repeats his intentions, this time being more direct about his plans, saying, "Now I get to eat you." After managing to break away from him, the three separate quickly, and the pizza divides into three to follow them. The three take refuge in a cupboard. Jimmy receives a brain blast, stating that if the pizza believes the sun is rising, he will flee. Jimmy, Sheen, and Carl then trick the Pizza into flying back into his pizza box using flashlights. They then expose the pizza to sunlight that morning, and he appears to revert to an normal pizza. But as soon as they think they are safe, the pizza returns to life, exclaiming, "Fools! Haven't you heard of sequels?!”, causing the three boys to scream in terror.

Jimmy then wakes up, revealing the Pizza Monster's creation to have all been a dream. However, this itself is revealed to be multiple dreams by several other characters, who keep waking up one after the other due to something terrifying relating to the slumber party.

Finally, the Pizza Monster himself wakes up, revealing that the events of the entire episode was just him having a nightmare about children (and that he himself exists in a world where everyone is a pizza and children are considered fictional boogeymen). The pizza tells his wife about the nightmare he had, and she reassures him that children aren’t real. The episode ends with the two returning to sleep as their cat (also a pizza) floats by.
