~ The Professor calls Wolverine by his real name as he escapes with X-23.
The Professor or the Weapon X Professor, was a supporting antagonist in Wolverine and the X-Men and the main antagonist of Hulk Vs Wolverine.
The Weapon X Professor was responsible for the creation of several powerful mutants in the Weapon X army, along with Deadpool, Maverick, Sabertooth, Wolverine and X-23.
He was voiced by Tom Kane, who also voiced Magneto in Wolverine and the X-Men and his counterpart in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, Ultron in The Avengers: Earth's Mighitest Heroes, HIM in The Powerpuff Girls, Judge Hotah in The Legend of Korra, and Chancellor Fredinand in 9.
The Professor's history is entirely unknown, except he became one of the leaders of Weapon X, enlisted by an unknown party that allied with Weapon X to create Mutants who are not or never born with Mutant Abilities.
He also helped fund the creation of Adamantium the most powerful (second to Vibranium) metal alloy on Earth. At unknown point the 20th century, he enlisted volunteers such as Raven Darkholme, Wade Wilson, Omega Red and Victor Creed to amplify their mutant powers. He worked various other staff members such as Carol Hines, Abraham Cornelius and Nathaniel Essex.
One night The Professor discovered a drunken man whom he kidnapped, and brought him into a facility. The Professor along with Corneilus mutated the man's dna into Adamntium where they wiped his memories and used him for various test programs, such as killing a robot bear, and even using his DNA to clone more mutants such as "X-23" and "X-24". Allying with Victor Creed and Wade Wilson, now as Sabertooth and Deadpool for an unknown mission. The Professor sent Wolverine with them, and was seen placing an flashlight within Wolverine's eyes. Sabertooth urged the Professor to kill Wolverine now, as he's "known him" and knows he cannot be controlled so easily, instead the Professor ignored his warnings, Creed admitted it would be his funeral otherwise.
The Professor tasked Wolverine to take out a mutant named David Nord, but after he refused to carry out the order Sabertooth subdued Nord and took him back to Weapon X to reprogram him into Maverick.
Wolverine and Raven known as Mystique would develop a romantic bond with each other, something that the Professor and Sabertooth despised and ordered her termination.
Later Wolverine tried to escape Weapon X with Raven, but was stopped by Sabertooth, and possibly taken to be reprogrammed while Mystique managed to escape. Wolverine was able to resist the programming, the Professor angered by the situation, urged to the Doctors to find more sedatives and activate Sabertooth, all which was futile as Wolverine broke out before such things could happen. He then met with the Professor and slashed his hand in half before getting away. The Professor was given a prosthetic hand to replace the one he lost.
He soon found a woman named Yuriko whom he subjected to the Adamantium bonding process, replacing Wolverine with her on the Weapon X roster, though it would be a terrible choice as Yuriko, now Lady Deathstrike, would be a nuisance to the Professor.
Hulk Vs[]
Years later, the Professor discovered Bruce Banner arrived to the Canadian border and sent Weapon X who would hunt the Hulk for weeks, resulting in several towns being destroyed and the Wolverine who also returned.
During the fight between the Hulk and Wolverine, Weapon X captured them both and the Professor tried to use them both for the Weapon X program but was betrayed by Deathstrike and Sabertooth whom slashed the Professor in the back. The others: Deadpool and Omega Red arrived and noticed the Professor was still alive but needed some "TLC", Sabertooth comes up with a fake story that the Professor wanted them to kill Wolverine, but Deadpool and Omega Red don't believe him, regardless they decide to do it anyways.
They failed to do so as Bruce turned into the Hulk and decimated the base. The Professor was recovered by Guards and managed to escape the Weapon X base before it was destroyed by Hulk and Wolverine, possibly removing Lady Deathstrike from the program, but kept Sabertooth.
Wolverine and the X-Men[]
Later Wolverine visited Maverick's home, and the Professor sent Sabertooth, where he tried to subdue Wolverine and his daughter, Christy Nord, but the two managed to defeat him.
However, The Professor would later decide to capture Christy instead, with Maverick this time. Wolverine along with Mystique who had score to settle with Weapon X decided to work together and stormed the Weapon X facility. The Professor later talks to a young but grown X-23 to take her to another facility. Wolverine confronts the Professor and X-23, who summons her claws, wanting to fight her father figure, but the Professor decided to supress her, telling this was not the right time. Wolverine, enraged of what he had done to the girl, as The Professor assures him that he has "continued his legacy" even calling him James before he left.
The Professor is last seen with X-23 escaping in a dropship to parts unknown.
The Avengers: EMH[]
The Professor would later receive an alert of a unknown intruder in their new facility and sent soldiers to find out who it is. They discovered it was not Wolverine and were subdued by this mysterious visionary figure who took Adamantium materials for another master.
