Daniel "Dan" Falconer, also known as The Prom Killer, is the main antagonist of the 2025 horror slasher Fear Street: Prom Queen, the fourth installment in Netflix's Fear Street franchise, based on R.L Stine's book of the same name.

He is the husband of Nancy Falconer and the father of Tiffany Falconer. He takes on the roll as the serial killer hunting the candidate who are running for Prom Queen so his daughter can get Prom Queen.

He was portrayed by Chris Klein who also portrayed Orlin Dwyer in The Flash and Dusty Lee Dinkleman in Just Friends.

Biography

Not much is known about Dan's life before the events of 1988 it can be assumed he attended Shadyside High School with Nancy, Rose Granger. At an unknown point his wife murdered her former love interest Mr. Granger framing her crime on Lori's mother Rose it’s unknown if he knew about it but eventually his wife most likely told him, sometime in 1970 or 1971 his wife gave birth to a daughter who they named Tiffany.

May 1988

In may of 1988 his and Nancy were planning on murdering the Prom a Queen candidates which included their daughter's friends Christy Renault, Linda Harper, Debbie Winters, and Melissa McKendrick. On May 23rd after buying some drugs he stalks Christy Renault wearing a red poncho and bird of prey mask he sneaks up behind her with a fire axe killing her by hacking her in the back and head with the axe.

On May 25th he and his wife attended the Senior Prom of 88 at Shadyside High, he sneaks away and goes to a empty classroom is were her murders Linda Harper by disemboweling her then kills her boyfriend Bobby by cutting his hands of with a paper Guillotine then bashing his head against a door. After Tiffany throws drinks on her friend Melissa McKendrick's dress she goes to the bathroom and changes into the American flag swimsuit she wore earlier when she she goes to leave Dan waits their revealing a meat cleaver chasing her she runs to the exit only to meet the second killer when she turns around to try and run the other away Dan stabs her in the face with the meat cleaver then drags her body away to the basement where he is presumably caught by the janitor Stoker who he bludgeons with a hammer. He gives chase to Lori Granger and Megan Rogers chasing them through the school making it to where everyone else is he cuts of Claire's leg then decapitates Gerald with his axe after pushing his way onto the stage he is confronted by Principal Wayland who he chops his left arm off then attempts to murder Lori only for Megan to jump on his back after throwing her off he steps on her preparing to murder her only for Lori to stab him through the masks eyehole with the Prom Queen tiara taking the mask off to reveal himself while distracted Spider manages to grab the axe while Freddie, and Chad subdue Dan he tells his wife why he did it was because he knew how much she wanted it eventually he is arrested and likely taken to the hospital to get his eye wound healed then taken to the Police Station.

It is later revealed that he and his wife and his daughter are under the influence of the Witch's Mark, indicating that Nick Goodle are responsible for turning him and the rest of his family into the killers.
