The Red Army are the overarching antagonists of the British animated web series Eddsworld.
They are a corrupt military organization who seek to take over the world, though their attempts to do so end in failure. However, it is implied that at some point in the future, they successfully take over the world and (possibly) get their revenge on Edd, Tom and Matt.
History[]
Two of their minions, Paul and Patryk, debut in the episode “Moving Targets,” as part of the enemies the army is facing.
The Red Army are first referenced in the episode WTFuture, with the Red Leader being mentioned by Future Tom.
The Red Army's first true appearance is in the beginning of the episode The Snogre. Paul and Patryk are seen flying a plane carrying the Army's symbol on its side. Paul warns Patryk that they seem to be approaching an iceberg, though Patryk dismisses this, for obvious reasons. Paul corrects himself by stating that they're approaching a "cloudberg". The plane then crashes into it, though all of its occupants manage to escape the plane and parachute to safety. Oddly, a third individual is seen exiting the plane, predominantly implied to be Tord.
Their second appearance is in the episode Fun Dead, where they appear on the news fighting zombehs, being described as "armed vigilantes". In the arcade sequence, an injured Patryk is seen leaning on an arcade machine, and an arm possibly belonging to Paul is partially seen in the same sequence.
As of now, their final appearance is in the episode The End (Part 2), when Paul and Patryk arrive to pick up Tord after he is injured during the destruction of his giant robot. The Red Army's symbol is also seen on the front of the robot.

Red Leader[]
The Red Leader is the leader of the Red Army and the overall main antagonist of the series. Although their identity is never truly revealed, they are heavily theorised to be Tord.
Tord[]
The main antagonist of the series, Tord's position within the Red Army is left unclear, it being unknown if he is simply a mere soldier or the mysterious Red Leader, though the latter is far more widely believed.
He was voiced by Tord Larsson in the classic era and by Jamie Spicer-Lewis in Eddsworld: Legacy.
Paul[]
Paul is a soldier of the Red Army and a recurring/background character who is tasked with performing weapons transport and fighting against forces that threaten the Red Army. He is usually seen alongside with Patryk.
He was voiced by Paul ter Voorde.
Patryk[]
Patryk is a soldier of the Red Army, usually being partnered with Paul in their tasks and battles against the Army's enemies.
He was voiced by Patryk Dudulewicz.
Yuu
Little is known about him. He appears alongside Paul in the episode Moving Targets, and in "The End 2", there is a portrait of him marked X in Tord's bunker.
He was voiced by Yuu Tan.
Possible members[]
Tom (Future self)[]
Future Tom is a minor but pivotal character, making his first and only appearance in WTFuture, his goal being to capture Future Edd and prevent him from killing the present Edd. It is possible that Future Tom is a member of the Red Army as he has access to the Red Leader's time travel device, though it is unknown if he borrowed it from the Red Leader or stole it from him. There's a theory that he, along with Future Matt and Edd are the archenemies of the Red Army in the future.
Matt (Future self)[]
Like Future Tom, Future Matt's only appearance is in WTFuture, possibly being a member of the Red Army for the same reasons as Tom.
Trivia[]
- The symbol of the Red Army bares a resemblance to Tord's hairstyle, and is one of the many reasons some suspect Tord to be the identity of the Red Leader.
