The Ripper is a sadistic serial killer and the secondary antagonist in the 1993 film Last Action Hero.
He was portrayed by Tom Noonan, who also played Francis Dolarhyde in Manhunter, Cain in RoboCop 2, The Stewmaker in The Blacklist, John Lee Roche in The X-Files, and Jake Berlin in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Biography[]
The Ripper is the main villain in the film-within-the-film Jack Slater III, in which at the end of the climax of the movie he kidnaps and holds hostage a bunch of school children, one of them is the son of the hero Jack Slater. When Jack fires upon the Ripper, he falls from the rooftop where he is holding the children but pulls Slater's son off the roof with him and to their deaths. The incident continues to haunt Jack Slater for many years to come.
The main antagonist of Last Action Hero Mr. Benedict (one of the main villains of Jack Slater IV) resurrects The Ripper in the "real world" and hires him to murder Jack Slater's actor Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Ripper heads to the premier of Jack Slater IV and is close to killing Arnold, however is distracted by Jack Slater who is close to firing upon him. The Ripper retreats and kidnaps Jack's sidekick Danny, and mimicking the climax of Jack Slater III takes him to the rooftop for one final showdown. The Ripper is then electrocuted and killed.

The Ripper was a murderous, sadistic, greedy, moronic, monstrous villain because of Danny Madigan throwing of the edge because of Jack Slater. The Ripper can only throw a mask and he was scary, creepy and cunning guy and he was a crazy guy that has a lot of skills.
