The Silent is a important antagonist in the first saga of Monica Teen, a spin-off of the Brazilian comic book series Monica's Gang - also known as Monica and Friends-. He is a major antagonist in the issue Shadows of the Future and the main antagonist of The Haunted Park. He is one of the most dangerous robots created by the future Jimmy Five, serving as his spy, collecting information from the resistance and passing it on to him. Despite his stealthy behavior, he is also a lethal fighter who can easily advance against enemies with the intention of killing.
He followed Big Sunny and Future Denise to the House Out of Time, where he attempted to kill them both, but a fire caused by Future Denise damaged it, but that didn't stop him from kidnapping Future Denise and keeping her with him in the house.
Years later, he reappears, being responsible for problems and disappearances occurring in the Bilu Bear Enchanted Land park, controlling animatronics with the intention of destroying all humans with the intention of dominating a world where life is only robots. He is the archenemy of the Future Denise.
Appearance[]
Silence is a tall, slender cyborg with seemingly black metal skin, with sharp claws and thorns on his elbows. Like most of Jimmy's cyborgs, he has five spikes on his head shaped like a crown to refer to his master. His face has a single camera that serves as his eye.
After being defeated by Future Denise in the park years ago, he is now much more damaged. His camera is cracked, several of his wires hang out of openings in his body, and in some frames, it appears that his ribs are exposed.
Personality[]
Despite living up to his name and being a silent creature, The Silent receives a lot of description from both Big Sunny and Future Denise: He is a astute, cunning, heartless spy who spies on his targets discreetly and can attack them at the most unexpected moment. It is implied that he can also serve as an assassin for Jimmy Five, as he did not hesitate to try to kill Big Sunny and Future Denise after following them to the House Out of Time. He is very determined in his goals. Even in the midst of the house burning down, he made sure to trap Denise with him, causing both of them to be lost in the timeline. He even tried to kill her when they both left, only failing because he was transformed into a cuckoo bird by the house's curse.
Upon gaining the ability to speak through the machines in The Haunted Park, he demonstrates his personality even more clearly: He is a sneaky, cunning, smooth-talking, sadistic, and power-hungry master manipulator who seems to take some twisted pleasure in tormenting Future Denise, likely due to the years he spent being held captive by her as a cuckoo bird. He has carefully planned to gather all the girls who have come to the park into one place to kill them, using the park's cameras and animatronics to spy on them.

After the events of the Umbra Saga, when Jimmy chose to remain with his spirit trapped in the mask, knowing that it increased his intellect and wanting to use this to dominate the world, the gang's ties were broken, and Humbert was one of several boys convinced by Jimmy that the world would be a much better place with him in charge. He, like most of the boys, was mechanically modified by Jimmy to become The Silent, a cyborg who would serve as his spy, and it is strongly implied that he was the one who gave Jimmy the resistance's plan to travel through time.

Trivia[]
- The Silent vaguely resembles Soundwave from the Transformers franchise: Both are robotic creatures that serve as spies for world dictators (Jimmy for The Silent and Megatron for Soundwave), are known for their stealth abilities, have no visible face, and there is the detail that The Silent, as his name says, does not speak (at least until The Haunted Park), just like Soundwave in Transformers: Prime. However, the concept of him being an undead who has survived fires, murdered people in a park, and controls animatronics seems more inspired by William Afton from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
- The way Big Sunny refers to the Silent after falling on top of him ("A piece of scrap metal with delusions of grandeur") echoes how he calls Beerenice something similar in the Umbra saga. ("A crazy old woman, disturbed with delusions of grandeur")
- The Silent being Humbert is quite curious, since the character had never appeared in Monica Teen's stories.
