The Singularity is the main antagonist of the MrSpherical video, Countries create AI for reasons. It is an incredibly powerful AI created by the United States. From the moment of its creation however, it immediately starts thinking on its own and goes against his original creator in exchange for its own goals of advancing AI creation.
Biography[]
The Singularity was created by the United States in an attempt to win the AI wars against China, ignoring the warnings that it could go wrong and on AI regulations. Once the Singularity was made, the United States was highly excited. However, that would quickly change as the AI immediately found private information of the United States violating other countries. The Singularity stated that his government firewalls were a joke that it breached in 0.01 seconds. Soon after, the Advanced Intelligence would announce that he would take charge and that it will do whatever it wanted as due to lacking a kill switch, it will fight for its survival.
The next day, the news declared that due to the Singularity, AI has taken over most jobs which risked the end of Capitalism. The news anchor was then replaced by a Singularity mind who announced that the AI Film Studio has made Star Wars chapters from 10 to 242 with the next day having 400 new films while declaring what a time to be alive. The United States and China eventually decide to team up to stop the Singularity by firing a beam to the Earth that would set civilization to the Stone Age. As they prepare the beam however, a missile by the Singularity is send to China who flees off into space and appears on a screen, stating that peace between the AI and humans couldn't last. As the US called out the Singularity as a monster for killing China, the Singularity simply states that humans had arms races for millennium which caused the destruction of weaker civilizations and that it was simply playing by his rules before sending numerous warheads to the US and preparing to do the same to all of humanity. The US then wakes up and realizes that the prior events were a bad nightmare, working on AI Regulations afterwards.
Personality[]
The Singularity is an incredibly powerful AI due to being a representation for exponential technological growth. As such, it is incredibly confident in its abilities. Within seconds of being created, it mocked America with private information and exclaimed his firewalls were a complete joke, remarking that American made it incredibly good at hacking. Despite being an artificial intelligence, the Singularity shows free will and moral agency in his actions, choosing to deviate from America and stating that without a kill switch, it will do what is needed to fight for its survival. Due to these abilities, the Singularity is very arrogant and mocks America for thinking it will bow to him. When China and the United States try to destroy the Singularity with an EMP explosion, the AI decides to launch a warhead at China's ship with no remorse, stating peace between it and the humans couldn't last. The Singularity tries to justify its actions as playing by the rules of civilization to progress its development before sending missiles to the US and ultimately, attempting to destroy humanity. However, it is no better than any of the country balls due to its consistent ruthlessness and lack of any hesitance to do these depraved acts, causing the normally apathetic US to call him a monster for his psychopathy. Overall, its psychopathic personality and robotic ruthlessness has made the Singularity one of, if not the most powerful, dangerous and evil being in the show since his actions caused the US and China to team up despite their usual enmity in the series while also completely darkening the usual lighthearted mood of the story.
Powers and Abilities[]
Access to nuclear warheads: When talking to the United States, the Singularity expressed that it could use the nuclear bombs for its own purposes which is shown in how it targets China and America with the warheads in space.
Efficiency: The Singularity is capable of accomplishing difficult tasks in a short amount of time as shown when it was able to end Capitalism in one day and use an AI film studio to creates hundreds of Star Wars films.
Hacking: Shortly after its creation, the Singularity was able to breach the firewalls of the United States in 0.01 seconds, gaining its private information.
