The Stinger is the main antagonist of The Mask cartoon series episode "To Bee or Not to Bee".
Biography[]
Prior to the episode, The Stinger (who went by the name Buzz Stingman) was a scientist at the Edge City University but was kicked out due to his experiments of Bee being deem too insane and Bazaar. Wanting to prove them wrong, Buzz experiment on a hive of bee, thinking that the special formula that he created will allow Bee to multiply their production of create more honey. Unfortunately, the formula somehow turn the bee against him and after removing his beekeeper suit and instead attack him, causing him to become a giant half mam/half bee and calling himself "The Stinger". However, it was revealed that The Stinger requires Honey to sustain life and started hunting for honey to eat.
He later seen at the grocery store, having eaten a large amount of Honey Chew, which were The Mask's favorite treat as he came to get some. After obtaining the last one, The Stinger decides to go the factory to obtain more Honey Chews and even after a large amount and defeated the mask once again, The Stinger realize that he still needs more and decide to take this operation a bit further.
It was later revealed that using his Bees, The Stinger hypnotizes everyone in Edge City (Minus Stanley) into creating a large hive so that they can create his own Honey and he can survive. However, He was defeated by the mask when he removed his stinger and transformed him back to Buzz.
