The Tiger Hunters are the main antagonists of the Thomas & Friends episode, "Tiger Trouble". They are two Indian poachers who try to catch a tiger. Their plans are foiled when Thomas, Rajiv, and Shankar trick them into thinking that the latter is a tiger. They also serve as the archenemies of Shankar and Charubala.
The Fat Tiger Hunter is voiced by Rob Rackstraw, and the Thin Tiger Hunter is voiced by Ian McCue. Rackstraw and McCue also voiced The Crown Thieves in the Thomas & Friends episode, "Heart of Gold". As a bonus, the former voiced Bernie in the 45-minute special, "Marvelous Machinery".
Biography[]
The Tiger Hunters are first seen when Rajiv tells Thomas that they've hired him to be their tour guide because they're both "tiger fans". But then, Shankar sees a cage, and he realizes that the tiger fans are actually tiger hunters. After catching up with Rajiv, Thomas tells him about the Tiger Hunters and their plan to catch a tiger. He also tells Rajiv that the tigers are rare and endangered, and that they have to protect them. But since the Tiger Hunters won't leave until they catch a tiger, Thomas, Rajiv, and Shankar have to find a way to stop them. First, Rajiv pretends to be lost by going in circles. Next, Shankar lures the Tiger Hunters away from Rajiv by pretending to be a tiger. Finally, Thomas arrives with Charubala and the Indian police officers, so that they can arrest them. Once the Tiger Hunters are defeated, Charubala praises Thomas and Rajiv, and Shankar manages to spot the tiger on his way home.
