The VIPs (collectively consisting of Mr. Goodman , Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Minnie Mouse) are the overarching antagonists of the Squid Game parody episodes made by the plush YouTube channel SML.

Like the characters they parody, they are the wealthy funders of the Squid Games and spectate players in deadly games, gambling on the winners.

Personality[]

The SML VIPs are portrayed as a trio of wealthy, and morally detached sadists, who find entertainment in watching people risk and destroy their lives for money. Mickey is the most aggressive and sadistic of the group, displaying a mix of excitement and frustration throughout the games. He enjoys the violence and chaos, finding a game cool because three people died, and hoping that the final game would be the players jumping up with barbed wire, his aggressiveness is shown time and time again, like him being consistently annoyed by Goofy’s incompetence, frequently scolding him. Goodman, is similarly indifferent to the contestants’ suffering, finding the Glass Bridge game and how the contestants are going to die to be “Neat.” But he is is more focused on personal gain, rather then to purely satisfy his sadistic tendencies, being particularly focused on Marvin winning so that he could collect his house payments afterwards. Goofy, on the other hand, is the comic relief of the trio, constantly struggling with his mask and with not being able to see anything, which irritate Mickey to no end. In general, their interactions are filled with ridiculous bets, and an extreme lack of concern for human life.

The VIPs constantly bicker about everything and are almost always engaging in petty arguments, most notably Goofy and Mickey. This behavior makes the Front Man seem like the only mature one, painting them not as not just evil and detached but also as spoiled brats, who get everything handed to them.

Biography[]

It’s possible that VIPs funded previous Squid Games before this one alongside Player 001, since Goodman knew who the chairman was, and Mickey knew to keep their identities a secret, like hiding there real names. But this is unconfirmed. The VIPs first appear in their private room, where Goodman asks Mickey and Goofy if they are ready to watch people die over money. Mickey excitedly responds that he’s ready, meanwhile Goofy complains that he can’t see through his mask. Mickey, growing frustrated, scolds Goofy for using their real names, since their involvement is supposed to be a secret. Suddenly, the Front Man appears, greeting and welcoming them to the Squid Games. Goofy then asks why the games are called the Squid Games, to which Mickey agrees, angrily replying that he hates calamari and had ordered steak instead. Meanwhile, Goodman impatiently asks the Front Man when he will be receiving champagne, as he’s tired of staring at an empty glass. Goofy, still struggling with his mask, asks if the Front Man has any scissors, since his mask has no eye holes. This sparks an argument between Mickey and Goofy about which mask he should have worn instead. Eventually, they agree to call over their waitress, Toodles, to fix it, but when she isn't available, Mickey becomes even more enraged. Goodman then asks the Front Man about the chairman who runs the games and why he isn’t here, only to be told that he won’t be attending tonight’s game. Goodman then asks about the next game. The Front Man informs them that it will be the Glass Bridge, explaining that the bridge consists of glass tiles, some strong enough to hold a person, while others will shatter, causing contestants to fall to their immediate deaths. Goodman finds this concept neat, meanwhile Mickey tells the Front Man that he hopes that this isn’t a copy of Bridge to Terabithia, threatening to sue him if it is. As the discussion continues, Goofy keeps complaining about his mask, as he’s unable to hear what his group is talking about. Mickey gets impatient and annoyed by this, and demands a pair of scissors once again. At that moment, a waitress finally arrives, the Circle Guard, she would then serve champagne to the three VIPs. With their drinks in hand, they turn their attention to the Glass Bridge game and watch. After the Glass Bridge round ends, the Front Man asks the VIPs if they enjoyed the game. Mickey enthusiastically responds that he did, finding it cool because three people died. Goodman agrees, adding that he’s happy Marvin is still alive, because if Marvin wins, Goodman will finally get his house payment money from him. Mickey disagrees, stating that he hopes Marvin dies because he hates him. Goofy, still struggling with his mask, complains that he wishes he could have seen the game. Mickey annoyed by his complaining, tells the group to just ignore him. Goofy then asks if Chef Pee Pee won, because he had placed a bet on him. Mickey would then begrudgingly inform him that Chef Pee Pee died. A moment later, Goofy asks where his champagne is, Mickey tells him that it’s right next to him, Goofy goes to hold the glass, but due to his mask and him not being able to see trough it, leads to him accidentally dropping the champagne, This enrages Mickey, who scolds him for making a mess. Goofy then says that it’s not his fault because he still can’t see through his mask. He then tells the group that he’s going to the bathroom to “wack off.” Embarrassed, Mickey apologizes to the other VIPs for bringing Goofy along, stating that he’s mostly just a sidekick. In the next episode, Mickey wonders what the final game will be. Goodman bets that it will be Rock, Paper, Scissors, except this time, the players will use actual rocks, paper, and scissors. Mickey, on the other hand, says he hopes the next game involves the contestants jumping on barbed wire. Meanwhile, Goofy announces that he got a new mask, only to immediately complain that he still can’t see anything. Mickey scolds him for choosing a Darth Maul mask, pointing out that it obviously has no eye holes. The Front Man then enters, asking the VIPs if they are ready for the final game. Goofy questions whether masks are really necessary, arguing that everyone already knows who they are. The Front Man explains that the masks are meant to protect their identities. Goofy, remains unconvinced, sarcastically asking, "from f*king who?" He points out that the VIPs are all incredibly rich and that the contestants can’t even see them anyway. Despite his protests, the Front Man insists that he keep his mask on. Goofy reluctantly agrees but states that he’ll just keep complaining. The Front Man then announces the final game to them: Squid Game.

As the game ends, Jeffy starts winning against Brooklyn Guy, which frustrates and disappoints Goodman since he had bet on Brooklyn Guy to win. Mickey, however, enthusiastically cheers for Jeffy, loudly shouting for him to finish Brooklyn Guy off. But instead of delivering the final blow, Jeffy chooses to spare Brooklyn Guy and end the games right then and there. This infuriates Mickey, who yells at Jeffy to kill Brooklyn Guy so he can win his money. Goodman, asks if this means that he won his bet. Mickey then asks if he bet on the games ending early. While the conversation was happening, Goofy continues to complain about his mask, which pushes Mickey over the edge, angrily threatening to slap Goofy if he doesn’t shut up. Goofy just tells Mickey to "bring it." Circle Guard had other plans, she took matters into her own hands and shot Brooklyn Guy, to ensure Jeffy’s victory. Mickey is ecstatic that this happened, celebrating since he bet on Jeffy to win. Goodman, on the other hand, is furious at this, declaring that he despises the Korean island they are on. Taking advantage of this moment, Goofy finally removes his mask and announces that he’ll be flying the island and traveling with his private jet to Magic Kingdom. Mickey then tells him that he hopes his jet crashes into a helicopter, to which Goofy agrees. With Jeffy officially winning and collecting his prize money, the VIPs fade from the story, marking the last time we see them.
