The Vees are major antagonists in the adult animated musical dark comedy series Hazbin Hotel, serving as the secondary antagonists of Season 1 and the main antagonists of Season 2.
They are a trio of extremely powerful but arrogant Overlords who are involved in many deals and activities across Hell and collectively serve as the rulers of Pentagram City. They operate their business in V Tower, located in Pentagram City's entertainment district.
Background[]
Not much is known about the Vees other than they were once humans who died and went to Hell, reborn as Sinner demons. However, it is known that Vox was a cult leader when he was alive. Once in Hell, they began working together and took over the immense metropolis of Pentagram City in the Pride Ring. They are extremely dangerous and cunning, to the point that a mere sight of them terrifies others.
That said, the Vees not respected by other Overlord demons, Carmilla calling them smug wannabees and Alastor describing them as "nobody important". Consequently, they have very low opinion of most demons other than themselves and each other; after Alastor is presumed dead in "The Show Must Go On", all three of them are delighted at the prospect of claiming "masterless cattle", referring to the souls that they assume are free due to Alastor's death. Clearly, they view such souls as little more than objects.
Members[]
Vox[]
A shark and technology demon who is businessman by nature and supposedly the leader of the Vees, Vox is a technopath obsessed with futuristic devices and power. He is very prideful and loves being the center of attention. He also possesses a major hatred for Alastor after he refused to become part of the Vees and is in a on and off relationship with fellow Vee, Valentino.
After the events of Season 2, Vox is currently not an active member of the team, with most of his technological assets having been passed onto Valentino.
Valentino[]
An abusive moth demon who specializes in the direction and production of erotic movies, owning all the porn industries of Hell as well as many nightclubs and bars. He proclaims to have employed the majority of Hell's "down-on-their-luck losers", one of which is porn star Angel Dust, who he regularly abuses and rapes.
After the events of Season 2, Valentino takes over VoxTek as its current CEO, replacing Vox.
Velvette[]
A humanoid doll demon who's one of Hell's biggest social media influencers. Velvette is a very energetic individual who believes and proclaims herself to be "the backbone of the Vees", which is supported by her being more competent and collected compared to egotistical Vox and wrathful Valentino. She is also stated to be good at cooking and potion crafting.

Trivia[]
- The directors of the show have confirmed that Vox is bisexual, Velvette is lesbian and Valentino is pansexual.
- Also, according to their official Voxtagram accounts, Vox and Valentino are in an on and off romantic relationship, which is eventually shown in the show proper.
- Velvette is currently the only member to not be shown as the archenemy of one of the main characters, as Vox being the archenemy of Alastor, and Valentino being the archenemy of Angel Dust. The closest person to an archenemy of Velvette is currently Carmilla Carmine.
- The Vees each represent a different type of media or entertainment; Valentino is adult entertainment, Vox is television, and Velvette is social media and fashion design. Despite this (or possibly because of it) Alastor (who represents radio) is their enemy (though Vox did apparently offer him a place among the Vees).
- All three Vees are a different type of demon, Valentino being a moth, Vox being a TV and a shark, and Velvette being a doll.
- Valentino is the most emotionally volatile and quick to impulsive violence of the Vees; Vox has to calm him down all the time, as Velvette can't stand dealing with Valentino's tantrums and mood swings.
- The main flaw that all the three Vees possess is arrogance and overconfidence as pointed out by both Carmilla Carmine and Alastor during their respective songs, Vox and Velvette seek clout and other people’s attention in the television and social media industries both respectively while Valentino is easily the most egotistical member who couldn't care less for his employees or their consent which is how he keeps the pornographic industry thriving, Vox also has the two other Vees do his dirty work most of the time while he figures out how to defeat and or kill Alastor in order to prevent their reign from being disrupted and to keep other Overlords from taking their spot which could potentially led to their downfall in case much more powerful entities like the Exorcists or their vengeful workers were to be involved.
- According to Vivziepop, Velvette is the glue between these two very egotistical and chaotic villains, Vox and Valentino.
