| ~ The Worm upon revealing itself to the doctor.
|
The Worm is the main antagonist in the YouTube series Don't Walk Home Alone After Dark, in the animation of the same name.
It is a malevolent, monstrous paranormal entity responsible for an ongoing series of insanity which results throughout a “curse” that is unwillingly passed on from victim to victim simply by talking about it with each other, which allows it to feed on their fears.
Appearance[]
In its true form, the Worm is an enormous robust creature with reddish-brown skin, multiple limbs, four glowing eyes (one on each side of its face and a pair located in the centre), a long tail, equipped with spike on its elbows, arms and end of its tail. It also has bulging teeth with a second pair of arms along its lower jaw.
Personality[]
The Worm is known to be a cold-hearted, parasitic, ruthless, vile and heartless being that appears to prey on people and torments them by haunting their own dreams. While the Worm feeds on peoples' fear, it does not yet appear to physically harm let alone kill its victims, as it seemingly preferred to let them suffer.
Powers and Abilities[]
Shapeshifting- The Worm is able to take on the forms of human beings and objects, such as its victims, and supposedly any inanimate object such as a door.
Telekinesis- The Worm uses telekinesis to catch victims who tried to escape its presence.
History[]
Past[]
The Worm is a parasitic demon of unknown origin.
The Worm - Animated Horror Story[]
While Sparrow was fixing her car, she hears some disturbing noises and walks out of her house to investigate, and vaguely spies the Worm’s silhouette down the street. A few seconds later, the streetlights started going out. She runs back to her house but it disappears in smoke, and she ends up in the Worm’s realm. The Worm appears behind her and whispers “Feed me”.
Days later, Sparrow’s doctor conducts a session with her in which she describes what she had seen in her dream, and after a while she told him that the Worm had whispered “little bird” to her to get her to come to it.
The doctor comes across a glowing door (which in reality is the Worm in disguise), and steps inside into the mental hospital’s hallway. There, he spots Sparrow, and starts to chase after her, but gets stuck in the floor which became sticky, and sinks inside into dark murky water. At the bottom, he spots a glowing hole and swims into it. As he gets out of the hole, he finds Sparrow standing in front of him with her face covered with her hands. She tells him that she’s hungry and disappears into mist, revealing herself to be the Worm in disguise. As he tries to run, the Worm stops him and he lands inside its mouth, but wakes up and realizes it’s a dream. He starts monologuing about how it happens in all his dreams after that. The Worm is not seen again after that, but it is presumed it gets away with its actions and continues to haunt people.
