Theta is the main antagonist of Death Valley, the second part of American Horror Story: Double Feature.
She is a human-alien hybrid in charge of experimenting on kidnapped humans to create a hybrid army for world domination.
She was portrayed by Angelica Ross, who also played Donna Chambers in 1984 and the Chemist in Red Tide, the first part of Double Feature.
History[]
Past[]
Theta was created as part of a long-running project to create the perfect human-alien hybrid. She eventually grew up to become the head of the project, albeit with even more brutal methods. Theta began slitting the throats and drowning any of the "imperfect" hybrid babies, before either killing the parent or impregnating them again to repeat the process.
Double Feature[]
A group of four college students, Kendall, Troy, Cal, and Jamie, are abducted and impregnated by the aliens, who have advanced their technology to be able to impregnate men. After the group try to call for help, they are sedated and kidnapped by the CIA and sent to Area 51.
In Area 51, Kendall wakes up from sedation prematurely, where Theta is monitoring all four of them. Theta ensures her that their babies will help save a species, before clarifying that she's not talking about saving Earth.
Troy eventually goes into labor, and Theta delivers the baby. Realizing the hybrid is flawed, Theta has the baby's throat slit and drowned in a small tub of water. After informing his friends of their children's fates, a prostitute named Calico explains that Theta has been forcing to deliver babies and killing them for decades. Troy helps Cal deliver his baby without Theta's interference, only for the baby to kill them both.
When Kendall and Jamie go into labor, Theta delivers Jamie's kid first, before killing both Jamie and the child after realizing they're imperfect. When Kendall delivers the perfect baby, Theta decapitates Kendall and puts her body on life support, intending to use it to continue breeding a hybrid army.
When Mamie Eisenhower and Calico try to convince her to stop the experiments and save humanity, Theta feigns agreement before using her powers to immobilize Mamie, telling her that humanity deserves to be wiped out. She then explodes Mamie's head. Theta convinces Calico that humanity has run its course, and offers her the chance to act as a mother to the hybrid children. Calico accepts.
