~ Thingman to Sunshine. |
Thingman is a minor antagonist in the Perfect Origin Arc of the manga series Kinnikuman.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, Thingman was one of the few Chojin protected from the genocide of all Chojin by The Man who would make Thingman and the other Chojins protected by him immortal and be trained in the art of wrestling. These Chojins who The Man taught would go on to be called the Perfect Origin, the original Perfect Chojin.
However, once the Perfect Origin learned that many Chojin survived the extinction and would repopulate, The Man decided that the surviving Chojin should be left alone, to grow so that the Perfect Origin may see their evolution, however, quickly the strong would dominate the weak, killing anyone they wanted. This resulted in the Perfect Origin going to Earth to genocide any Chojin who was dominating others.
After this point, Thingman agreed that all of the Perfect Origin should hide themselves away in the Chojin Graveyard and only accept truly strong Chojin to be their students. After they hid themselves away, Thingman would be tasked with destroying all monuments made that proved the existence of the Perfect Origin.
Kinnikuman (2011)[]
After Akuma Shogun reconnected the Chojin Graveyard to the world above, the Six Devil Knights stormed in with Sunshine coming face to face with Thingman at the Statue of Liberty.
Thingman grabbed Sunshine's arm when he went to punch him and put him into a chokehold. Thingman let Sunshine go before calling a sand storm which attached itself to the Statue of Liberty, turning it into a Statue of The Man before telling the audience that this Statue of The Man was there before the Statue of Liberty. Thingman then makes a ring on the palm of the statue for him and Sunshine to fight in.
The two Chojin charge at each other, slamming their shoulders against each other and bouncing off of each other because of their equal strength. Sunshine goes in for a kick but Thingman dodges and delivers a lariat but Sunshine's sand body makes Thingman's attack phase through him. To land an attack on him, Thingman produced a loud soundwave but this didn't affect Sunshine who snuck underneath him and threw him into the statue of The Man.
Thingman then realises that he has to spray cement at Sunshine to stop him, making a part of his body hard and easy to hit. Sunshine tried to use his Sunshine Roller to crush Thingman but he fills it with cement, jamming it. Soon Sunshine's entire body would be covered in cement, turning him into a statue.
Now that he can hit him, Thingman can beat on Sunshine but he isn't worried. Thingman suplexes Sunshine but Sunshine catches himself, holding both of their bodies with one arm. Sunshine begins beating on Thingman with his hardened body but he can't even slightly scratch Thingman's dense body which is made from a meteorite.
Thingman uses his hidden shoulder blades to rapidly slash at Sunshine's body, weakening it enough for Thingman to produce an intense soundwave that shatters Sunshine's body into rubble. Sunshine still lives but he can't transform so Thingman walks over to crush Sunshine's head.
Then Sunshine begins to cry about his past and current failures, knowing he's about to die, Sunshine asks for his body to spread across the ocean before Thingman turns Sunshine to sand with his soundwaves. Thingman then picks up the mat and is about to throw it into the ocean but Sunshine reveals that he tricked Thingman, using the mat to heat up so he can form his transformation device, allowing him to form his body again.
Now rebuilt, Sunshine attacks Thingman, having his sand go into the open slits in Thingman's shoulders and pulling out the blades, placing them onto the ground. Sunshine then grabs Thingman and piledrives him into his discarded blades, penetrating his body and making Sunshine win the fight.
Sunshine then takes Thingman's dumbbell and as Thingman rants about the "Inferior Chojin", Sunshine beats him with the Dumbbell which is as hard Thingman, caving in his skull and batting him away.
