Stop hand

Thorn Rose, commonly referred to as the Monster by the Scavengers, is a major character in Sonic Prime. She is a counterpart of Amy Rose from an alternate dimension, where Green Hill is called "The Boscage Maze", who acts as a guardian for the land's jungle. As a result of former friends of hers taking excess amounts of food and plants from the jungle, she expelled them from the jungle, forcing them to live in the treetops, and now intends to find the green shard of the Paradox Prism in order to completely shroud the jungle with trees. But when Sonic arrives at the Boscage Maze, he helps Thorn and the Scavengers learn how to get along. Eventually, they reconcile with each other. Thorn is also the owner of Birdie, as well as the best friend/honorary sister of Rusty Rose (her New Yoke City counterpart) and Black Rose (her No Place counterpart).

She was voiced by Shannon Chan-Kent, who also voiced Rusty Rose in the same show.

Appearance[]

Thorn looks exactly like Amy Rose. The only difference is that she wears garments made out of leaves, and a pair of boots made out of tree bark. She also has a set of wooden structures attached to her quills and green facial markings.

Biography[]

Past[]

Some time ago, Thorn shared the forest with a group called the Scavengers, who took the jungle's fruits and berries as they pleased. Unfortunately, the Scavengers also proved to be very greedy, and took much more than they needed, which was effectively harming the jungle. Because of this, Thorn had decided to expel them all from the jungle.

Sonic Prime[]

When Sonic arrived at the Boscage Maze, he agreed to help the Scavengers defeat the "monster" in favor of searching for one of the Prism Shards called "The Great Green". After he defeated a giant Flicky named Birdie, Sonic was eventually encountered by Thorn Rose, and she agreed to help him find the shard. However, Sonic didn't realize that Thorn was actually manipulating him into helping her dig to get the shard. Once he finally got the shard, Thorn eventually betrayed Sonic, and she claimed the shard all by herself before trapping him in a vine cage. After Sonic escaped, he was quickly defeated, and he convinced the Scavengers to help him reason with Thorn Rose and reconcile with her. Despite being unsuccessful a few times, Sonic was able to help Thorn see the error of her ways, and she reconciled with the Scavengers, who also apologized for their past actions. This allowed her to redeem herself as a result.

Some time later, the Chaos Council and Tails Nine arrive at the Boscage Maze to look for the Paradox Prism shard. But when Sonic tells Thorn to give him the shard, she tells Birdie to spit it out, much to his disgust. Afterward, Sonic runs away with the shard, while Thorn and the Scavengers stay behind to protect the Boscage Maze. A little while later, Rusty Rose, Black Rose, and their pirate crew arrive at the Boscage Maze to stop the Chaos Council from taking the shards away from Sonic and Tails Nine. During the fight, Rusty and Black Rose are surprised to see Thorn because she looks like them.

After Tails Nine's betrayal, Sonic, Shadow, Thorn, the Chaos Council, and all of the other Shatterverse variants team up to stop him. During the battle, Thorn rescues Rusty and Black Rose when their ship gets blown up. And then, she calls them her sisters. Later, when the Shatterspaces start to destabilize, Tails Nine realizes that he has made a mistake, and he apologizes to Sonic. To save the Shatterspaces, Sonic sacrifices himself. Afterward, Tails Nine brings Green Hill back. But since the gateway won't stay open for long, Shadow has to help Sonic get home before it destabilizes. After saying goodbye to Thorn, Rusty, and Black Rose, Sonic and Shadow head back to Green Hill.
