This villain was proposed but was rejected by the community for not being heinous enough or lacks what is necessary to be a Pure Evil villain. Therefore, this villain shall be added to our "Never Again List", where proposed villains rejected by the community shall be placed to prevent future proposals of the same evil-doer. They can be proposed again (with the permission of an administrator) if new elements appear in their series that can change their status as non-PE villains. Any act of adding this villain to the Pure Evil category without a proposal or creating a proposal for this villain without the permission of an administrator will result in a ban. |
“ | Thoth: Well played, mortals. I yield. Come out, Sekhmet. It is pointless to continue now. Sekhmet: No, this isn't over yet...! Thoth: Oh, but it is. The artifacts have all been reclaimed. The Protector has been assembled... and your servants have run for the hills, have they not? There is no reason to continue our efforts this night. Sekhmet: I suppose not... if there is no more to be done here, then let us return home at once. This place reeks, anyway... Gracie: Wait! Thoth: Oh? Gracie: Why were you two so dead set on destroying humanity, anyway? Thoth: Why indeed! What a silly question. The sooner we bring about the end of mankind, the sooner we get to remake it! Have YOU ever created anything? It’s quite fun. Gracie: What!? You can’t just erase us and start over like we don’t matter! Thoth: Says you. We’ve already done it plenty of times before. If you don’t like our methods then come stop us. Oh that’s right, you can’t. You’re far too insignificant for that, aren’t you? Ha ha ha! But enough of that. Let us return home, Sekhmet. Sekhmet: Yes, let's. |

~ Thoth in the "Good Ending". |
Thoth is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Sekhmet) of the 2022 indie horror comedy videogame Artifacts and Antiquity. He is an Egyptian god who wishes to bring the end of the world to remake humanity, something that he and Sekhmet have already done multiple other times before.
Personality[]
Thoth shows to have little to no regarding for humanity, having destroyed and remade it multiple times just for fun.
Thoth also shows to be arrogant (which is shown with him openly mocking Gracie) but at the same time demonstrates to be partially affable and have some sense of honor, yielding after the Protector is summoned, complimenting with the protagonists and convincing Sekhmet to yield as well (which might also imply he cares for her, given Sekhmet might have died if she had attempted to kill the protagonists with the Protector to protect them).
Biography[]
When the company the protagonists work for accepts to store artifacts that have been stolen from the gods, the latter decide that, should their artifacts not be returned, they will destroy humanity. Fortunately, a goddess (who's simply known as "Nameless") decides to help the warehouse's security guards (Gracie, Faye and Mike) with recovering the artifacts.
Unfortunately, Thoth and Sekhmet, being determined to destroy humanity, send the latter's servants to stop the protagonists before deciding to intervene directly.
"Good Ending"[]
Should all the artifacts be collected without anyone dying, Nameless will summon the Protector, who will scare off The Sentinel, the Assassin and the Priest.
Thoth and Sekhmet at this point show up, deciding that it's pointless for them to continue this and decide to return home. Gracie stops them to ask why they were so determined with destroying humanity, with Thoth answering that they intended to remake it, like they have already done so multiple times before.
Gracie obviously finds the whole thing horrible, but Thoth simply mocks her since she's unable to fully stop them before both he and Sekhmet leave.
"Neutral Ending"[]
Should all the artifacts be collected with Faye and/or Mike dying, Nameless will return the artifacts to the other gods.
While Thoth and Sekhmet don't appear at all in this ending, it's likely they returned home offscreen.
"Bad Ending"[]
Should Faye, Mike and Gracie all die or should the time run out, the army of the ancients will be unleashed, causing the end of the world.
It's likely that after this Thoth and Sekhmet remade humankind as they intended.
