Thoughtforms are the main antagonists of the analog horror series The Greylock Tapes. They are mysterious beings created from human consciousness and fear.

Background[]
The Thoughtform Manifestor was invented by SimioDyn USA as a way to bypass the years of rigorous mental conditioning required to create a Thoughtform naturally. These often are quite different as they skip the incorporeal stage and are immediately an independent and sentient organism. These are described as looking like humans, objects, animals or even abstract concepts. Despite SimoDyn's claims that these entities are harmless and normally docile, it would appear that several are quite capable of violence.
March 1987[]
A thoughtform in a white mask has been sighted in the woods around Mount Greylock by members of the Morelli Construction & Mining Company. The crew, now transformed into monsters, were recovered by SimioDyn USA but some were euthanized, given Standard Treatment, or restrained for further study.
April 8th, 1987[]
A thoughtform in a white mask breaks into the home of Arnold Rivers and kills him in his bedroom closet.
August 23rd, 1992[]
A thoughtform was sighted numerous times around Forever Friends Kennels in North Adams, Massachusetts before attacking Charlotte Melgren.
December 29th, 1994[]
A thoughtform was sighted in the home of a girl named Katie calling itself her imaginary friend before attacking her.
