“ | My allegiance is to the Corellian system alone. And you'd be smart to curb that lightsaber tongue of yours, Princess Leia. An insult to the man is an insult to the office. | „ |
~ Thrackan Sal-Solo threatening Princess Leia. |
Thrackan Sal-Solo is a villain of the Star Wars Legends alternate continuity, formerly known as the Star Wars Expanded Universe
He also serves as the main antagonist of Star Wars Corellia Trilogy, one of the two main antagonists of Star Wars Legacy of the Force betrayal (alongside Lumiya) and the main antagonist of Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines . He is the treacherous cousin of Han Solo. Noted for looking and even sounding a lot like his cousin, Sal-Solo was a notorious criminal who kept coming back into power despite the many crimes he committed.
The feud between Sal-Solo and Solo began when both were children, due to the sadistic abuse that Sal-Solo heaped upon his cousin before turning Solo back over to pirate that Solo had ran away from.
Sal-Solo later attempted to start a career in the Imperial Navy, but his cousin's actions in getting tossed out of the military and subsequent actions with the Rebel Alliance assured that he never went anywhere. In the chaos following the death of the Emperor he was able to seize power in the Corellian system before his cousin and family thwarted his ambitions. Sal-Solo would return several times over the years to haunt Solo and his family. He would extend his feud to all the members of Solo's family.
During the Yuuzhan Vong war, Sal-Solo sided against the people of the galaxy by taking up leadership of the Peace Brigade before he was captured. Somehow he was able to worm his way out of prison and got himself elected chief of state for the Corellian system again. He put out a bounty on Solo and his family.
Having had enough of the man and his constant threats towards his family, Han Solo decided it was time to take care of his cousin once and for all. Solo allied with Boba Fett and Fett's granddaughter Mitra Gev, and was finally able to put an end to his evil cousin.
