  • Hi there. To start off, and just to make sure you're not confused, thinking this is someone messaging you for the first time, I'm the same user as ThatScrewyDuck. It's just that, after thinking it over for a while, I decided to change my username, as well as my avatar, to something that I thought was a much more accurate reflection of what I really like (plus, because some users, mainly MIDKOWITCH under his different names, were calling me Daffy due to him being my avatar, which for some reason, really bothered me). However, for some incomprehensible reason, it's completed cleared out any votes from my previous PE Proposals, or at least, you can't seem them anymore! I don't understand why it would do that just because I changed my name. Is there some way to fix this? It really bothers me that all the proof of my proposals being approved is just gone (even more troubling, while there were only maybe 4, it even cleared away the existing votes in a PG proposal I currently have up on the Heroes Wiki).

    • I unfortunately think due to it renaming it also went and auto renamed the part of the proposal which might of been essentially clearing all the comments by default. Unfortunately I don’t believe there’s a lot way to fix it.

    • As long you haven't got blocked for something you didn't do, so in my book, that's legal.

      Good for you, man.

    • ........I see. I'm actually very sad about that, since it makes it look like no one actually voted on, let alone approved any of my proposals, many of which I put hours of hard work and proof-reading into. Just to make sure, no one's actually going to disprove these proposals and take all the characters I did them for out of the Approved Evil template/category, are they? Anyway, I can't believe it's possible that something like this could happen just by doing something as simple as a username change. If I had know this would happen, I would have changed my name a lot sooner so that this didn't negatively affect as much of my work in retrospect.

Also, B1bl1kal, may I ask why you're congratulating me by telling me "good for you"? I don't feel like I deserve much praise right now.

    • I just thought you did it because of MIDKOWITCH who clealry doesn't understand the importance of space. I wasn't trying to be mean.

    • No, no ones going to remove characters due to this only if future removals are made and approved would they be removed.

    • I see. Okay, thanks for the clarification all around. And no, I didn't do this because of MIDKOWITCH... at least it wasn't the only reason. If it reduces the chances of him or her harassing me anymore (as well as simply calling me Daffy, which somehow, just really annoyed me), that's great, but honestly, I felt like I used that username because I happened to be going through all these Looney Tunes shorts featuring Daffy Duck at the time. But over time, while he's still my favorite Looney Tuens character, I just got this nagging feeling that I could have chosen a name that represented me and my interests a little more accurately. Hence the new one. I just never could have possibly imagined there was any chance it could lead to all the comments under all my past proposals disappearing... how can there be any connection to what seems like two completely unrelated concepts?

    • The only guess I have is that the coding with renaming means it can move the data you personally put while the rest is unfortunately lost in the electrical translation.

    • Hello sorry for barging into this conversation but I will say I have found a way to see the comments if you go the redirect that was left behind after the username transition the comments are still there. for example https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/User%20blog:ThatScrewyDuck/PE%20Proposal:%20Nizam?redirect=no
I know it's not ideal but it at least is something maybe you could perhaps but a link to it on all your blog posts Nintendo Master.

    • Oh, really? That's very neat, and of course, it's reassuring to know there's anything I can do to view the comments again. And no, I don't mind you "barging in" if it means offering a solution. The only problem is I have no idea how to leave a redirect like that. What's the simplest way to do it?

    • Just something like the blog name with your original username then ?redirect=no and a note here is what i would reccomend

<p style="text-align:center;"><u>'''''Due to my username change the the votes are on the rederict if you want to see it click [https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/User%20blog:ThatScrewyDuck/PE%20Proposal:%20Nizam?redirect=no here]'''''</u></p>

    • That looks...complicated. I don't know if I can do that.

    • Its okay it was just a recommendation.
