Thunder Pike is the main antagonistic group of the Japanese series, I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! They were a group of Adventurers that the main protagonist of the series, Yuke Feldio was a part of until he quit feeling underappreciated. However, after Yuke left, Thunder Pike was having a hard time dealing with the most basic tasks because Yuke handled all of the support, including stocking supplies. Realizing they needed him, Thunder Pike decided to get him back by any means necessary, even by violating the Adventurer's Guild's rules. However, the Thunder Pike has disbanded when most of the members (except for Jamie) were killed by the orcs when they were betrayed by Jamie for their atrocities.

They are the arch-nemesis of the Clover.

History[]

Thunder Pike was founded five years prior to the series, among their members were childhood friends Yuke and Simon. By order of the king, all Adventurer Parties had to be broadcasted in a similar fashion to livestreaming. Over the course of their career, Thunder Pike was considered one of the best. However, Yuke soon became angered, as he was paid barely anything of the shares while Simon and the others took most of the reward money. Simon justified this as Yuke was B-ranked and only used support items, while the others were front line fighters. Finally fed up with this, Yuke quit and joined a trio of girls he taught years ago as the new party, Clover.

While Clover became more popular, Thunder Pike suffered. Without Yuke, they failed mission after mission, being they neglected to bring support items or anything else Yuke usually brought. One of their first failures almost cost Jamie her life, had the archer replacement for Yuke have not brought a sole healing potion. Over the course of a month, Thunder Pike went through multiple replacement members, only for them to quit after one mission. On the flipside of things, Yuke's new party had become increasingly popular.

Deciding to swallow his pride, Simion realized they needed Yuke. He attempted to sway Yuke back to Thunder Pike, reminding him that his dream to visit the demon lord's dimension through the dungeon Endless Darkness required at least two A-Ranked Adventurers and authorization from both the guild master and government. Yuke still refuses, seeing Clover's potential.

Angered, Thunder Pike attempted to force Clover to merge into Thunder Pike with a fake contract. Yuke sees through this and refuses still. Deciding to change tactics, Thunder Pike says some rather racist things about Silk, Clover's Dark Elf member. Despite even Cammilla's upbringing in the church, Simon, Barry, and Camilla brought up the fairy tales about Dark Elf betrayals in the hopes of riling up Yuke. This backfired on Thunder Pike worse than expected, where not only didn't Yuke attack them, but the conversation was streamed due to the contract they signed. Upon returning to their guild, both the Guild Master Benwood, and the receptionist Mamar summoned the group to the main office. It was here Thunder Pike is reprimanded both physically and verbally by the group. Because of the contract they signed, their comments about Dark Elves reflected the kingdom's as well. According to Benwood, Thunder Pike should be careful, being that this international incident could cause them to be executed.

When Endless Darkness reopened, Thunder Pike once again attempted to get Yuke back. However, due to their constant failures and that the party members kept quitting on them, Thunder Pike was not only endangered of being demoted, but they also couldn't go into Endless Darkness because they didn't have enough members. As Simon and his group, save Jaime, began to rant, they were approached by Besio Salas, a noble who wanted Clover member Rain to himself and hated Yuke too. He agreed to be Thunder Pike's sponsor, also granting the group high end equipment, with Simon taking an illegal resurrection medallion. While traversing Endless Darkness, Clover is ambushed, their equipment stolen, and the female members are put to sleep. Simon then reveals he has an enchanted contract and quill, which will force Yuke's permanent servitude. Despite trying to resist, Barry suggested the idea to rape the girls, much to Yuke's horror and Jaime's reluctance. But just before Yuke could start signing, the floor beneath the two groups collapsed, landing them in an orc den. During the fall, Jaime cast a levitation spell, preventing Clover from falling right away, much to Thunder Pike's confusion.

Jamie betrayed the Thunder Pike then steals back Clover's equipment, much to Simon's shock. Using a scroll of protection, Yuke created a barrier around Jamie and Clover while the mage worked to undo the bindings. Simon attempted to take Rain hostage, only for Jamie to save her. Clover was able to escape the dungeon with an emergency exit scroll, with Jaime casting an invisibility spell so the orcs wouldn't notice her. Thunder Pike would receive the worst of this. Simon was beaten violently, however due to his resurrection medallion, he was revived, only to become more monstrous with each revival. Barry was ripped apart, while Camilla was violently raped by the orcs. Jamie survived but badly injected. She used a potion to heal herself and used invisibility magic to avoid the orcs while attempting to escape. However, Simon revived himself and became monstrous as well he severely injured Jamie for betraying him and ruined his last attempted to force Yuke to return to Thunder Pike.

After escaping, and getting Besio arrested, Clover discovered that Jaime was still broadcasting from Endless Darkness. Clover sent out a rescue mission to save Jamie, where they were met by the now insane Simon, who had become a tentacled monstrosity due to the medallion. Simon would rant about how Yuke got everything, while Simon had nothing, despite their different backgrounds. Yuke would fight his former friend one last time, destroying the medallion. Being that the other members of Thunder Pike were dead, Jaime was punished in their place. However, because of her noble efforts in rescuing Clover, Jaime was given a short-term prison sentence. Jamie became a new member of the Clover and a receptionist for Finis Adventurer's Guild to repay her debt for society and to search for a cure for her brother, Tac.

Members[]

  • Simon: The Knight and team leader of the group as well Yuke's arch-nemesis. Simon arrogantly believes that he is the hero the world needs, unaware that isn't the case. He used to be Yuke's best friend when they were kids but he treated Yuke so poorly and betrayed his feelings. He's rude, racist towards Dark Elves, and incompetent. After Yuke left and started Clover with his students Simon's callousness almost cost Thunder Pike their lives on multiple occasions. Simon also bullied Jamie the same way to Yuke. Because of his racist remarks, which were recorded due to a contract all adventurers must sign, Simon almost started an international incident, causing all applicants to withdraw. He was killed by a horde of orcs but revived by an illegal artifact until he got killed by Yuke.
  • Barry: The group's warrior and Silk's arch-nemesis. He basically does whatever Simon wants and would rather fight through his problems. He tried to rape Silk to force Yuke to submit of returning to the Thunder Pike, but was foiled by Jamie. He was killed by a horde of orcs when he torn apart.
  • Camilla: The Priestess of the group and Jamie's arch-nemesis. Despite her upbringing, Camilla is incredibly prejudice against Dark Elves. Camilla always looks down on others. Camilla was killed by a horde of orcs when she was raped to death.
  • Jamie (formerly): The group's mage. While originally thought just as bad to Yuke as the rest of the group, Jamie is the first to admit they need him when she was almost killed after a job gone wrong. It revealed that Jamie's rude behavior were reluctant when she was forced to speak ill to Yuke because she too was bullied by Simon, Barry and Camilla. The only reason she stayed with Thunder Pike was because Jamie needs money to pay for her sick younger brother, Tac. She betrayed her party and saved the Clover. After the deaths of Thunder Pike, Jamie was arrested but given a sentence reduce and given a one year suspension from adventuring due to her noble and heroic actions against her former teammates for their crimes after She betrayed them for the greater good. She join Clover as new member and become a receptionist for the Finis Adventurer's Guild to repay her debt for society and to find a cure for her sick brother Tac. Jamie also revealed to Yuke she always hates her formerly-yet-deceased teammates because Simon was an idiot, Barry was an even bigger idiot and Camilla always looked down on others.
  • Yuke (formerly): The former member of the group who is a red mage. However, he quit when he was fed up with them. He rejected to return to Thunder Pike because they betrayed his feelings. They've tried their last attempt to force Yuke to return, but was foiled by Jamie when she betrayed the Thunder Pike.
  • Cork (formerly): The archer who is a former temporarily member of the group. But, he eventually quit when he was fed up by Simon, Barry and Camilla's arrogance.
  • Two temporarily members (formerly): They were temporarily members but eventually quit because of the group's arrogance.

Trivia[]

  • With the exceptions of Yuke, Jamie and the temporarily members, the three members of the Thunder Pike (Simon, Barry and Camilla) are one of the most hated and weakest villains in the series along with Besio Salas.
  • Some fans has a theory of one of the Thunder Pike, Camilla is possibly still be alive as her god took pity on her and save her from the orcs. If that's true, then she prefer to die rather than being forced to give birth to an orc offspring.
