Thundercracker is a upper-class scientist turned Decepticon, and a antagonist in the War for Cybertron video game, and a recurring antagonist in the Aligned novel trilogy. Thundercracker was somewhat calm and reasonable, taking no joy in killing his enemies, while still believing in the Decepticon cause.

He was voiced by Graham McTavish.

Thundercracker served as a scientist, alongside Skywarp, Starscream and Jetfire on a dilapidated orbital research station that once experimented on Dark Energon. After Megatron and the Decepticons invaded the station, and fought their way to the laboratory, he managed to bend Dark Energon to his will. Impressed at his strength, Starscream, Thundercraker and Skywarp joined up with Megatron. Jetfire declared them traitors and left to warn Zeta Prime. Thundercracker and Skywarp were prepared to give chase, but Megatron allowed the Autobot to leave, as he wished Zeta Prime to know his demise was coming. After Starscream revealed he knew they could manufacture more Dark Energon with the ancient Energon Bridge, Megatron sent them to reactivate it.

Note: Exodus tells it's own account of the evacuation from Cybertron, which conflicts with the Cybertron games.

Thundercracker and Skywarp were Starscream's most trusted Seekers. When the terrorist Decepticon group bombed Altihex Casino, Starscream ordered Thundercracker and Skywarp to take Sentinel Prime to safety. However, as the Seekers had secretly aligned with the Decepticons, they instead took Sentinel to Kaon, then to Moonbase One and inprisoned him.  Thundercracker fought wa the Decepticons throughout the war on Cybertron. He was presumably among the Decepticons who faced Omega Supreme in it's late stage, and survived, along with Skywarp and Slipstream.
