Timecap'n Hooktail is a minor antagonist in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, serving as the penultimate boss in the dungeon Tazavesh, the Veiled Market. A high-ranking member of the Infinite Dragonflight, she masquerades as a pirate captain under the alias Captain Caulle Whiphook while pursuing dangerous time-altering artifacts. Her brazen piracy and temporal meddling make her one of the most chaotic threats within the Veiled Market.

Background[]

Operating within the exotic trading hub of Tazavesh, Timecap'n Hooktail leads a crew of Infinite-aligned pirates aboard her warship, The Hourglass. Her objective is to seize powerful relics that can be used to disrupt the timestream in service of the Infinite Dragonflight’s apocalyptic goals.

Under her human guise as Captain Caulle Whiphook, she infiltrates the market during a multi-faction artifact deal, hoping to claim the prize for herself. However, her plan is interrupted when So'leah, a broker-turned-villain, intervenes and steals the artifact. Enraged by the betrayal and interference, Hooktail sheds her disguise and reveals her draconic form, initiating a deadly confrontation with the players.

Boss Encounter in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market[]

During the boss fight, players face Hooktail aboard her ship. The encounter tests coordination, positioning, and add management. Key abilities include:

Infinite Breath – A devastating frontal cone of Arcane energy that stuns and damages players in its path.
Hook Swipe – A powerful tail sweep that strikes players behind her, dealing physical damage and knockback.
Anchor Shot – Launches a massive anchor at a player, pulling them toward the ship while inflicting damage.
Double Time – Temporally accelerates her allies, increasing their attack speed.
Summon Corsair Brutes – Calls in pirate reinforcements to aid her in battle.
Cannon Barrage – Her ship bombards the battlefield, forcing players to dodge waves of incoming fire.
