He appears at the beginning of the film threatening Aparecida with hurting her children, Chema and Dolores. When she convinces him to give himself up as a sacrifice, he orders his men to carry her up. Once at the altar, he opens a pre-Hispanic book where he begins to say a few words to invoke the power of Mictlantecuthli. But before the ceremony can continue, the heroes attack them. He uses his skull rockets to try to hurt the children, but Tetlepanquetzal intervenes, causing his pyrotechnic attack to fail and the children to be saved by their father, Jaguar. Taking advantage of the fact that he was distracted by them, he inserts the jade knife into the obsidian mirror, opening access to the World of the Living. He is attacked by the superhero in his nahual form, but smiles with satisfaction when he frees Dr. Vampiro, although he is easily defeated by Jaguar by violently impacting him against a part of the cave.

Years later, he is in a commercial area manufacturing his rockets. When he hears the police talking about a "ghost girl", he rushes to take their cell phone and see Dolores. He is glad that she is still alive and goes on a rampage with his fireworks, taking a rocket car with him on his back.

He goes to where his henchmen are, showing them the video of the girl.

At night, when Dolores is kidnapped, he uses his fireworks to kill Chema. However, he did not notice that Tetlepanquetzal had pushed him away before he could do so. So he just knocked him out.

Seeing that Dolores' powers fail before the obsidian, he reveals this information to her and asks if her mother never told her. Then, she appears from the shadows of the car where she is being held captive, smiling maliciously at her.

When his men manage to get the jade knife out of the museum, he realizes through reflection that the superheroes were spying on them. He launches a rocket towards them and calls both Chema and Catrina "Avenging Brother and Bony Old Lady", saying that they are now trying to stop them. Seeing Tetlepanquetzal as a squirrel attacking one of his henchmen, he says that now they have brought reinforcements, and laughs, ordering them to be shot. When he confronts Chema, he laughs at his power and instability, jokingly telling them to bring him milk.He adds that he would like to stay, but he has things to do and asks her to return home. He gets into his truck, and fires several rockets at the museum, threatening to crush the museum guards. Then, he quickly flees the scene.

When he gets to Dolores, he scares her and mocks her, telling her that she should have seen her scared face. He then orders Dog to bring the obsidian mirror. In the next scene, he tells her that what he is going to do to her will make her feel uncomfortable. With the knife, he tries to insert it into the obsidian mirror, but he fails, leaving him confused. When he hits the knife hard, he breaks it, and realizes that it is fake, since it has the following written on it: Kisses, Tuna. Dolores laughs at him, and Tin Marín angrily orders Perro to find the superheroes.

When the superheroes go with Don Miguel and his men attack the market, he appears and orders them to bring the jade knife. Seeing Chema go for the artifact, he jokes to his henchmen about the "brave little brother", and asks what he's going to do to stop him. When Catrina fails to destroy the jade knife, he takes it, telling them it was a good try. He reveals to them that Mictlan's knife is indestructible, but they are not. He lights a spark to activate his rocket car, firing several fireworks at the superheroes while laughing. He is then attacked by Tetlepanquetzal (taking the form of a dog), but easily pushes him away and leaves him trapped in his rocket car. He says goodbye, laughing at the fact that they consider themselves superheroes, and lights up the car's rockets to finish off Tetlepanquetzal, but Catrina manages to save him by launching the rocket car into the air. Finally, he flees again in his truck with his henchmen, being followed from a distance by Chema for a few moments.

Returning to where he is holding Dolores, he asks her if she missed him. When Dolores mocks him about the new knife, he inserts it into the obsidian mirror, causing the girl to go into horrible spasms. When asked if he never gave up, he replied that he never did. She hears a knock on the car door, and opens it to see what Perro is doing. When he tells him that everything is ready for the ritual, Tin Marin is happy and replies that he just has to wait that the full moon is fixed, and asks them to prepare. After Perro offers him to eat chicken feet with the others, he refuses without thinking twice.

When Dolores asks him why he does what he does, he thinks she is referring to chicken feet, and answers her that he hates them. When she clarifies what she means, He answers that he had already told her before and that thanks to her, he will be able to bring Dr. Vampiro back. After being asked what he would do next, he replies that he will see. When he hears from her what he would gain from it, he yells at her that it should not matter to her. She adds that she will also be rewarded, as she will be reunited with her mother in the afterlife. When she calls him a monster, he yells at her that he is not, as he has to do it and nothing more, so he orders her to shut up. Fed up with her words referring to him as a puppet, he throws the knife near the mirror and takes out a grey tape to cover her mouth. He asks her if that was what she wanted, to see if that will shut her up now. What he doesn't realize is that the knife and the mirror come together to activate their power that reaches Dolores, and affects him as well, immersing him in his deepest memories.

There, we are shown his tragic past: many years ago, he had a little daughter whom he adored more than anything in the world, and they played a lot together. Her name was Sofia. One day, They played at dancing and spinning around, and they also chose whatever she had in one of her fists. She selected with the following phrase: De Tin Marin De Do Pingue, hit it, hit it, what a merit it was. Choosing her left hand, she saw nothing, but Tin Marin formed a fire butterfly to entertain her. Then, he notices a strange presence in the distance (being the dark silhouette of Dr. Vampiro), and asks Sofia to return to the house. When she thinks to inspect the presence, she steps on a wind-up doll. Suddenly, a loud explosion occurs in her house, running desperately to call her. Unfortunately, the little girl died instantly. Some time later, he obtained a pre-Hispanic book with which he summoned Dr. Vampiro. There, he would make the deal with which the vampire would bring Sofia back from the dead.

When the power of the artifacts fades, he reacts totally scared. Even when Dolores begs him not to free him, he says that he needs his daughter and she will have to help him with that. He then exits the truck, paying no attention to his henchmen.

In the next scene, he is seen with Perro and some henchmen taking Dolores to the altar of Mictlantecuhtli. Seeing that Dog and her are arguing, she stops him and tells him not to pay attention to her. Feeling Chema's power near them, she wonders how he got there. When Dolores sees her brother, she tells the girl that it seems like everyone in her family wants to die. He then launches a rocket into the duct, taking Chema and Tuna out of there. He adds that to do this, they should not be kept waiting.

As his men escort them to the subway tracks, he hears Tuna say if he is so brave without his rockets. At that, he takes off his rocket car and tries to hit Tuna, but the wrestler hurts him with his thorns. He tells them that he has already wasted enough time and rockets on them, and orders them to continue taking them to the rails. He gives the order to take Dolores, and adds that no one will be able to stop him this time. He asks Perro to take care of Chema and Tuna. After Catrina and Tetlepanquetzal kill Perro and his 2 henchmen, he covers himself from the impact. When he sees the vehicle Catrina is in, he gets scared and runs away from the truck as best he can. But when it gets stuck in the narrow tunnel, he puts on his rocket car and laughs. He fires all his rockets at them, saying goodbye to them again, believing them defeated.

He takes off his load and reaches the altar, and upon hearing Dolores' screams, he tells her that there isn't much time left. Even with the girl's pleas that his daughter is not coming back and that he still has time to save her, he refuses to accept it. Upon hearing the question of what Sofia will think of what he has done, he yells at her that he doesn't care if she hates him later, just as long as he has her back by his side. He takes the book and begins to say the words to invoke the power of Mictlantecuhtli, and thus, he manages to bring his master back with the help of the jade knife, the obsidian mirror and Dolores. Tin Marin welcomes him and thanks him for the reward he will give him. But when he sees Dolores, he reminds her that he had promised her something before. Faced with Dr. Vampire's mocking rejection, he shouts that he had promised him, but is violently attacked by the vampire's power.

When Dr. Vampiro complains about what he had offered him, he stresses that they had made a deal and orders him to return his daughter, but he is once again attacked by evil magic. There, he realizes that he has been tricked, but receives an attack from the villain that leaves him seriously injured.

Seeing Chema's efforts to try to free his sister from the altar, he stands up and asks him to leave it in his hands. This is how he grabs the obsidian handcuffs with all his strength to break them, even if he received the fierce magic of Dr. Vampiro. While watching Dolores, he has a vision of Sofia. He shouts her name, and tells her that they would soon be together again. At her invitation to go home, he smiles and manages to break Dolores' handcuffs. Then, he falls to the altar, lifeless, and his body disintegrates with the light emitted by the altar.

During the credits, he is seen reunited with his little daughter, fulfilling his wish of being able to be together forever, completely happy.
