Titans are the secondary antagonists of the Winter 2019 event from the Roblox game Tower Battles. They are enormous knight-like creatures similar to the Guardians of the Void, and they aid Frosty in his battle against the player.

Appearance

A Titan is slightly smaller than the player and wears dark blue and black armor. The Titan has a large helmet with glowing light blue eyes and a crystal in the middle of its upper chest.

Biography

There are 4 Titans in total, Celgar being one of them (it is unknown which one he is), and they first appear in wave 9 of the Winter event. When they start attacking players, only 1 Titan appears at first, but is quickly killed by the players. In the 10th and final wave, the remaining 3 Titans appear one by one, to protect their master Frosty, who is following right behind them. However, the remaining Titans are killed by the players, thus clearing the way for Frosty.

Powers and Abilities

• Freezing Inducement: Titan slashes a tower with its sword, freezing it for 15 seconds.
• Superhuman Strength and Durability: Befitting a boss, Titans are much stronger than a normal zombie, with a health pool of 60,000 in total, being the strongest miniboss along with Guardian and Expired Jack.
• Throwing Ability: Titan rips a huge boulder from the ground, and throws it at a random tower, stunning the tower it hits and rendering it unusable for 1 minute.
• Cold Immunity: Titans are not effected by cold in any way.

Trivia

• Titan is one of the 3 non-final boss zombies that is capable of attacking, with the other two being Guardian and Expired Jack.
  • Moreover, Titan is also one of the two non-final boss zombies to have a death animation, along with Expired Jack.
• When Winter 2019 was first announced, Frosty was going to be called the "Ice Titan," but that was changed. And it looks like they decided to keep the name for Titan.
  • Additionally, Titan's name comes from the race of gods of the same name from the Greek mythology, who were believed to have ruled the Earth during the Golden Age before the Gods. Given that their name is clearly taken from them, there are two possible sources of inspiration for the Titan;
    • Since there is no "Ice Titan" in Greek mythology, the closest inspiration is Tethys, the Titan of underground waters. However, since they have very little in common, this possibility is very unlikely.
    • A better inspiration would be Hydros from Disney's Hercules, who is directly stated to be an Ice Titan. However, it is more likely that Hydros was the inspiration for Frosty rather than Titan, as Frosty was originally called the Ice Titan when he was first announced.
• Despite appearing in a teaser for the event, the Titan had no role in the 2024 Xmas event in Tower Defense X. However, another Titan was revived in a different form.
