His Majesty, Titus Mede II, Emperor of the Mede Dynasty, is a supporting character and the overall final objective of the Dark Brotherhood questline if the Dragonborn chooses to join them, in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,

As Emperor, Mede normally was indifferent to the Skyrim Civil War taking place between the Imperial Legion under General Tullius, and the Stormcloaks under Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak. That all changed one day when he received word that his cousin, Vittoria Vici, was getting married to Asgeir Snow-Shod, in an attempt to broker peace between the two factions. However, on her wedding day, Vici was murdered by the Dark Brotherhood, which was seen as a Stormcloak attack to provoke the Emperor. When he learns of Vittoria's death and it being seen as a Stormcloak assassination against his family, Mede sets course for Skyrim to oversee the Civil War personally from his personal tower at Castle Dour in Solitude, the provincial capital. In the meantime, he assigned the Penitus Oculatus, his elite guard, under Commander Maro, to secure Skyrim for his arrival. However, he then learns that Maro's son, Gaius, has been slain, with it appearing that he was a Stormcloak traitor, providing Ulfric with details for an attempt on Mede's life, which was thwarted, putting Mede at ease.

However, when a member of the Dark Brotherhood comes forward to warn Maro of the attempt on the Emperor's life, a body double is sacrificed to foil the attempt to kill the Emperor by poisoning his meal with highly toxic Jarrin Root, while Maro, seeking revenge for Gaius, sends his agents to burn down the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary to ensure they won't threaten the Emperor again. With the Dark Brotherhood seemingly eliminated, Mede prepares to depart Skyrim to return to the Imperial City on his flagship, The Katariah, but before it can weigh anchor and depart the province, Mede finds himself confronted in his personal quarters on The Katariah by the Dragonborn, Listener for the Dark Brotherhood, still intending to finish the contract issued by the Night Mother. Accepting his fate and knowing that once the Dark Brotherhood gets a contract, nothing will stop them from fulfilling it, Mede accepts his death with dignity, but asks the Dragonborn for one last favor: To kill Amaund Motierre, the one who put the hit out on him, before going to the window and gazing out of it, waiting for the Dragonborn to come up behind him and slit his throat to end his life and complete the contract. The Dragonborn does as intended, and Titus Mede II honorably dies with dignity at the hands of the Dragonborn, Listener for the Dark Brotherhood.
