Mortimer Tonybee, better known as the Toad, is a minor antagonist in the videogame Lego Marvel Superheroes. He is a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants and an enemy of the X-Men.
He was voiced by Greg Cipes.
History[]
Toad appears in the level Juggernaut and Crosses, where he and the rest of the Brotherhood of Mutants attack X-Mansion in search for the Tesseract. He traps Storm using his tongue, but is defeated by her when she summons lighting to shock him.
He returns in free roam, where he challenges the player to "embrace their inner amphibian" by bouncing on lily pads. after three times of this, he recognizes the player as the "ultimate bouncer" and is unlocked as a playable character.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Enhanced Agility: Toad's mutant power gives him enhanced agility, allowing him to slide up walls, travel via beam poles and double jump with ease.
- Super Senses: Toad's super senses make him able to find hidden Lego objects and climb walls detected by those aforementioned senses.
- Long tongue: Toad's tongue is extremely long and he can use it with great precision. He can pull web handles and reach otherwise inaccessible areas with it. However unlike Spider-Man, Mister Fantastic and Doctor Octopus, Toad cannot pull two web handles at once as he only has one tongue.
